Jackson, WY's Very Own Teague Manley Checks In Immersion Research - As the school year drew to an end and the rivers began to rise nationwide I decided it would be a good time to go on a trip. We started off by spending three great days at the Wyoming Whitewater Championships which included a down river race, a boater cross, and a rodeo. Jackson Kayak - Plattling, Germany – The 2011 International Canoe Federation Freestyle Kayak World Championships could be called Dane's party, for US teen Dane Jackson who not only was the first and only person to ever compete in all four freestyle disciplines but also took top honors in three of the four and one bronze in the other.

ICF Freestyle World Championships 2011 Martina Wegman - After the Teva Extreme Outdoor Games in Italy.. I drove with Teva Athlete Anna Hübner towards Germany. We slept at her parents' house and drove to Plattling the next day for the Freestyle World Championships 2011. When arriving in Plattling the weather was great and it was already busy.

My World Champs 2011 - Thanks Mike The Blonde Blogger - ... she said "you never know what is going to happen and what this is about. Don't place positive or negative judgment on the outcome. There could be something entirely different that comes that you never saw or expected".' These words have been in my head a lot this week. Germans win the big trick contest. worldkayak blogs - After the SUP event yesterday there was a big trick contest and all sorts of crazy fun.  The winning trip was from a team of Germans that managed to tie three Rockstars together and throw a big loop.  The best part was that the center boat was back wards for the full trick.  Here is a video thanks to Lee Hart.

Beatdown trip Sweet - After the grand prix, my days in Canada are just getting more and more difficult. After spend a few really good days surfing Mini-Bus the levels dropped down and left the Ottawa river at a really strange level with not any good wave to go surf, so together with my chilean friend Marcos we moved to Quebec for the Rouge Challenge.

Between working on the river plus the great fortune of having dam releases upwards of 300 days a year on the Green River in Western North Carolina, its been a wet few months.

UPDATE (22.06): Click here to follow the ongoing Canoe Freestyle Worlds in Plattling ICF - It was a night that was as unpredictable and tumultuous as the weather at the Men's and Women's Quarter-Final round of the 2011 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships.Peter Csonka (SVK) entered quarter-finals dead last, in 25th place, yet according to one American observer "killed it" to end up on top in first with a daunting score of 1763. The day's previous high score was Stephen Wright's (USA) 1696 in prelims. Wright finished the quarter-final in seventh place with a score of 1268.

UPDATE: Canoe Freestyle Worlds in Plattling ICF - The day finally arrived when a woman topped a man's score in whitewater paddling. Claire O'Hara (GBR) scored 1950 in the Women's Squirt class at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Freestyle World Championship preliminaries on Tuesday. The top score in the Men's Division was Jamie Austen, also of Great Britain, with 1766, nearly 200 points less than O'Hara.

Pringle & Katya: Worlds Update:- Days 1, 2 & 3 Palm Blogs - For some reason the levels and weather in Plattling this last two years have been pretty wild, either 30degrees and no water for months at a time or the opposite; big storms & flooding all of a sudden. So far we've avoided the floods at this event but it's always looked like its on the cards since a few storms before the event brought the level upto a good high level just in time. With the forecast of imminent flooding due this Friday the Worlds has been ran at a super tight schedule and after only 2.5 days of competition were pretty much done apart form finals.
