After a taste of the running the Skookumchuck rapids on Shuswap River near Mabel Lake, BC, we decided to head back in warmer weather and give the 'chucks' near Kingfisher another go. Riot, the company he co-founded in 1997, is now owned by Kayak Distribution, which also has brands like Boreal Design, Seaward, and Trapper in its varied offerings. During Corran's time at Riot, he was one of the industry leaders, spearheading both the design revolution, and how kayaks were marketed and paddled. Naturally I was immediately drawn to it, but when I discovered that it was the updated Zen, I couldn't take my eyes off of it . After it melted, the crust rebounded upward. The process of rebound continues today. I departed late morning for the 2 hour drive down to North Wildwood. Upon my arrival in picking up bait was on the top priority list. NZ Tekapo Throwdown 2014 Jackson Kayak - The first weekend of November is known by many a kiwi paddler to be the annual Tekapo Throwdown. Located in the central south island by the beautiful glacial feed lakes is the beautiful hidden gem of the Tekapo whitewater course just down behind the small township. Bringing Family and Friends Together on The Water Nikki Rekman - I knew we had to own a Jackson Dynamic Duo after paddling one for only a few minutes. While the 12 foot boat may not seem practical for Manitoba rivers, we actually used the Duo a lot this summer. Pyranha 9r Fast Is Fun on The Tallulah Gorge Team Pyranha - I am fired up on this new boat! Going fast and linking up moves is one of my favorite ways to kayak and the 9r makes it that much better.
