Our foul weather friends were particularly excited as it meant our first whitewater runs of the season. Is Stand Up Paddling Really Exercise? Standup Journal - It's 4am. I can't sleep. Hood H2O - The first time I scouted Beaver Creek Falls was two years ago when a bunch of friends and I were in search of a respectable sized waterfall to step up too. Beaver is a short 45 minute drive from Portland, it lies just off Highway 30 outside of Longview, WA.  Check Out Kai Lenny's First Time Sup Session In Pistol River Oregon Standup Journal - Action, Kai has so much fun doing windsurfing, SUP in rapids. This makes a exciting video to watch, in the end its heart warming to see Kai teach kids Stand Up Surfing and enjoying every movement of it. This video is a must watch!!, its very refreshing. Its certainly positive. Demshitz on West Virginia'S Cranberry Creek unsponsored - This is basically a new run that was recently found, cleaned out and paddled by Shane Groves and John Moore. There are mainly slides on this run with one tricky little 8 footer. It gave myself and Josh a little trouble. Anna's Six Minute Ab Series. Jackson Kayak - One reason I was excited to join Jackson Kayak was to have the opportunity to share a few yoga stretches and core exercises that help to keep me healthy, strong and on the water through the JK blog. Ben Marr & Friends Tour Feb/March 2014 unsponsored - Ben Marr – 'Benny', is an extreme kayaker, from Ontario, Canada He is 28 years young and was the first person to descend the Stikine river without portaging, conquering the infamous Site Zed, Grand Canyon of the Stikine in August 2012 ... Lanakila Classic 5 Mile SUP Highlight California SUP - The 2014 SUP race season has kicked into gear and events continue to grow. The Lanakila Claissic Outrigger, SUP & Surfski race took place on Saturday, February 22 in Redondo Beach. The 5 Mile short course took paddlers from King Harbor to Hermosa Beach Pier and back. Kaituna Timetrials & Wairoa Extreme Race - NZ Extreme Series Martina Wegman -  The NZ Extreme Race Series kicked off with the first 2 out of 5 races taking place on the Kaituna & Wairoa Rivers. Despite it was a rainy day, the river levels where super low, which meant more slow water in between the rapids, pushing the laps to at least 7 minutes of brutal sprinting! More flooding in the UK lets the Mobius play! Wavesport Blogs - We have had lots of rain here in the UK with major rivers bursting their banks both in the North and South of the country. Many Brits are therefore hitting the rivers or Wales, Scotland or Yorkshire or have been hanging around waiting for the weirs to run. Pentax Optio WG-2 GPS & Nikon Coolpix AW100 Sydney Surf Ski - Two great waterproof cameras from Pentax and Nikon landed on the same day, and they've been well and truly flogged ever since. My first waterproof camera was the venerable Panasonic Lumix, which served me extremely well until I discovered the stills off a Contour were great, and I didn't have to stop to take them.

News Watch Headlines Mr. B'S Barbequed Shrimp YakAngler - Last week we were in New Orleans on a business trip & ate at Mr. B's in downtown NOLA. We had their barbeque shrimp as an appetizer & it was great. I kept thinking that I had seen something about that dish before. A few days later, after we returned home, I was browsing through the 2013 In-Fisherman Magazine Pike & Musky Special. Kayaking to Jorge Montt Glacier and uncharted Patagonian islands Funhog Blob - The Jorge' Montt Glacier is an extension of the Southern Patagonian Icefield, and like many glaciers on the planet, this one is in recession. We paddled deep into a curved bay littered with sculpted floating ice, encouraged onward by the promise of sighting the icefield. Alagoas Pro Grand Slam to Kick Off Next Month in Brazil Standup Journal - After a dramatic first stop for the Stand Up World Tour at Sunset Beach on Oahu's North Shore, next up will be the Alagoas Pro Grand Slam, taking place from the 29th March to the 6th April. This Grand Slam event will feature stop number two on the 2014 Stand up World Tour, but also the Opener for the Stand Up World Series, as the world's best head to the North of Brazil to do battle. The beautiful young Slovenian has sweet smile but Manca is as focused as any European paddler on the world stage today. SUP Pilates with Flow Physio & Pilates red paddle co - Paddleboarding is an all round excellent form of physical activity and can offer real benefits getting back to fitness following an injury, or even just keeping fit and healthy. An hour in the gym with the physio vs an hour doing some paddleboarding sort of obvious which one to go for Navigation?
