The overall winner turned out to be Doug Hamm. There were great prizes and goodies won by the top three winners the lucky raffle draw winner. The BBQ the previous evening was fun filled and lively. Travis Grant and Terrene Black Take The Molokai Double SUP International - NSP is today humbled by the performances of two of its team riders who achieved the most amazing results in the world's most challenging paddling race. Every sport has its pinnacle, in ocean paddling that is crossing the Kaiwi Channel between Molokai and Oahu. Sam Thom completes his SUP dream SUPboarder - Sam Thom, a young Kiwi from Auckland, New Zealand has just completed his SUP dream of paddling around Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland. The island is the New Zealand equivalent to our Isle of Wight. There is a 33 year old tradition of having laid- back down-wind "races" across the lake -followed by tall tales, a great BBQ and warm hospitality from John and Janet Milandin. The wind enhances the paddling conditions prevalent here... Assabet After The Fish Kill Trash Paddler - The Assabet River was in the news this week after hundreds of dead fish were found in the Stow section of the river last Saturday (7/20). Apparently they were victims of our recent heat wave and the unusually high water temperatures that resulted. With his vertical hacks and aggressive style he well deserved the overall win for last year.  Will he be able to keep hold of his title for this year?…. that's the question.   Salmon River Part 3 Jackson Kayak - Everyone on the trip will tell you it was the "best trip ever". And for each it was a different reason. The rapids. The beautiful sights and camping. Or maybe just the idea of being off the grid. For me the highlight and scariest part came on the 2nd day. The women likely to be at the top in the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboarding World Championships this year SUP Connect - There is defending champion Talia Gangini-Decoite who set a new women's record last year. There is Andrea Moller who was the record holder before Talia broke it. Other competitors include Annabel Anderson, Jenny Kalambach and Terrene Black. M2O will take place on July 28th Naish Sup Team Brings It to 2013 Maui Paddle Championships SUP Fitness - It was a light wind trade day that looked promising and was full of action. I was stoked to finish 2nd in my division as it was a final few miles grind to the finish. The best part as always, is being with friends from all over the world and to race with your team mates. Innova Swing 1 Kayak Inflatable Kayak Blog - I recently had a chance to test paddle an Innova Swing 1 inflatable kayak that was returned to us from a customer who upgraded to an Innova Safari. The Swing is the newest Innova, very well received by paddlers since it's introduction last year.
