Ross Herr Sunday Funday Big Sur
Ross Herr - I finally have sorted through the hours of video from our sessions at Big Sur a couple of weeks ago. Shane was in town on a surfing mission and we took full advantage of every day starting in Glenwood in the mornings and making our way to Big Sur in the afternoons. Both waves were amazing in different ways. Glenwood was ...
Sweet Beatdown trip
Sweet - After the grand prix, my days in Canada are just getting more and more difficult. After spend a few really good days surfing Mini-Bus the levels dropped down and left the Ottawa river at a really strange level with not any good wave to go surf, so together with my chilean friend Marcos we moved to Quebec for the Rouge Challenge.
worldkayak blogs Surfing at Kelly's Whitewater park
worldkayak blogs - I was at Kelly's yesterday and today getting some surfing in. The waves were great. The top one was a lot stickier then I thought it would be. It'll be used for the Nationals July 9th and 10th. I can't wait to see what they can throw on that wave!
Wavesport Blogs Spring/Summer Photo Update.....looky here!
Wavesport Blogs - Since the spring has hit it has been a busy paddling season, and it continues to be so now into summer. Between working on the river plus the great fortune of having dam releases upwards of 300 days a year on the Green River in Western North Carolina, its been a wet few months.

ICF UPDATE (22.06): Click here to follow the ongoing Canoe Freestyle Worlds in Plattling
ICF - It was a night that was as unpredictable and tumultuous as the weather at the Men's and Women's Quarter-Final round of the 2011 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships.Peter Csonka (SVK) entered quarter-finals dead last, in 25th place, yet according to one American observer "killed it" to end up on top in first with a daunting score of 1763. The day's previous high score was Stephen Wright's (USA) 1696 in prelims. Wright finished the quarter-final in seventh place with a score of 1268.
ICF UPDATE: Canoe Freestyle Worlds in Plattling

PaddleBlogs Diary of an ageing kayaker: Where to next?
PaddleBlogs - There's been some great feedback already on the last post, and I wanted to share this e-mail exchange from my mate Mat Newton.  Newts is an ex-slalom paddler like me, lives in Tassy, and is one of the best photographers around. "Hey Mally, Just checked out your new blog. We are just back from two weeks boating in North Queensland. Paddled the North Johnstone and ..."
Palm Blogs Pringle & Katya: Worlds Update:- Days 1, 2 & 3
Palm Blogs - For some reason the levels and weather in Plattling this last two years have been pretty wild, either 30degrees and no water for months at a time or the opposite; big storms & flooding all of a sudden. So far we've avoided the floods at this event but it's always looked like its on the cards since a few storms before the event brought the level upto a good high level just in time. With the forecast of imminent flooding due this Friday the Worlds has been ran at a super tight schedule and after only 2.5 days of competition were pretty much done apart form finals. Day One:- Tuesday 21st – Women's, Squirt & C1 Prelims Women's kicked the competition off the field needed to be cut down to the top 20...

Daan Jimmink South Branch Middle Feather
Daan Jimmink - After Deer Creek, we all went our separate ways. However, Nemo (Toni's Toyota Tercel) got a flat tyre and not having a jack onboard, meant a quick phone call for Hank (our truck) to come to the rescue and help out. While parked next to the freeway, we came up with the plan of going into ...
Bryant Burkhardt Summer has begun
Bryant Burkhardt - The other day was the Summer Solstice - the official start of summer and the longest day (daylight) of the year. By shear coincidence I took advantage of that fact by getting in two laps on Slab Creek . The run itself is quite quick - a little over an hour - but what makes the long day relevant ...
