There were rain clouds on the horizon but thankfully for the whole day it didn't rain. There was a strong breeze blowing which wasn't very nice. Luck Jackson Kayak - I had been eyeballing the surf forecast for a few days. It was looking good. 2-4′ swell at 14 seconds, light winds at 5kts, sunny skies with patchy fog. 3rd Annual Europe Paddlesports Conference ACA - The 3rd annual ACA Europe Paddlesports Conference took place in the beautiful village of Maboge, Belgium over the weekend. A Return to Cow Creek YakAngler - For my third trip back to the water, Greg, Rik, Steve and I decided a trip to Cow Creek was in order. With pesky north winds predicted for Saturday, it would offer us some protection and hopefully allow for some good fishing. AirTracks: The Inflatable All-Terrain Camera Slider Paddling Instructor - If you shoot film in the outdoors and looking to get better action shots, you need to check-out this Kickstarter project that is likely going to reach its $20,000 funding goal. AirTracks is an inflatable all-terrain slider designed for DLSR cameras. Bckfc Fall N Tide Vii Jackson Kayak - This past Saturday I participated in BCKFC's Fall N Tide VII kayak fishing tournament. Fall N Tide is held in Plaquemines Parish and has lately been headquartered out of Delta Marina. News Watch Headlines The Fall Road Trip Five 2 Nine Productions - While I count myself lucky to spend so much time on the water, when I'm filming, the kayaking experience is different than that of a leisure trip. After a year in which I got to work on a lot of great projects, it was time to leave the camera home, head out and enjoy some rivers. Dillon Falls to Meadow Camp Nathan Pfeifer - Rarely do I find myself boating on the east side of the Cascades in Oregon. This is mainly due to a limited river selection, and frankly, with all the classic runs on the west side, it's hard to find the motivation to head over there. However last week I was fortunate enough to get up to Oban and get out the short boat. Essential kayak festival CackleTV - Swell, sunshine & smiling faces helped make the first Essential Sea Kayak Festival a great success over the last 3 days. I was very happy to be involved, both on the water & by giving a talk one evening. My Third and Final Dinghy Race of 2012 Frogma - I first thought about sailing while having to row a rubber raft back to shore from the middle of Lake Tahoe against a stiff wind and chop. Around me, sailboats were making it home without paddling a stroke. Point Bennett Project Just Yakkin - With the deck stripped out in the rough, the next step is cutting out the holes for the hatches and making the recesses. But first I had to liberate the hatch comings from the remains of the last deck. Sea Change and Spreading the Love Angling Addict - The window-down kind of days have slowly brought on the wader-up type of outings. Like a banner of farewell, the bold colors of the trees bid bon voyage to the mass exodus that brings about a sea change to the Chesapeake Bay fishery.
