PeakUK (Wednesday 2nd) ** - So it is finally time to stop kayaking for just a few hours to send an update on my US adventures so far. 1 month ago today I left life and work in the UK and set off on the first leg of my 2012 adventures to paddle the Grand Canyon and train and compete on the freestyle circuit in the USA.
Jackson Kayak EJ's Follow up from Olympic Trials, Freestyle, Extreme Racing, and the Future….
Jackson Kayak (Saturday 28th) ** - Training for two weeks in Charlotte for Olympic Trials with my new slalom boat, my kids, and the slalom racers was an awesome experience. The racing was also incredible, as I got 6 tries to lay down some good runs, and while I never had a "good" run, not even for myself, I did have lots of good moves and fast sections.
Team I-Canoe Jackson Kayak's Zen – First Impressions
Team I-Canoe (Monday 30th) ** - The Zen 65 (medium), is Jackson Kayak's newest river runner with 2 more sizes in the range, 55 (small) and 75 (large) due to follow shortly. Jackson Kayak (Monday 30th) * - This past weekend, I had the joy of paddling down in the Kaweah drainage with lots of great friends for what was most likely the high-water weekend of the year.  We got on 3 runs that I've never paddled before: the North Kaweah, the South Kaweah, and the lower 1/2 of the East Fork Kaweah at mega-high water!
Jackson Kayak Galen Volckhausen Makes the News- Story and Link Attached- 80 ft Fall!
Jackson Kayak (Monday 30th) * - When I heard that Galen Volckhausen was paddling kayaks over 80-foot waterfalls, it brought back a decade-old memory, and it made me smile. Galen was a classmate of my daughter at the Elizabeth Ann Clune Montessori School, and one day I navigated my Subaru through an inch of slushy snow to drop her off at school.
unsponsored Old School Series – Pyranha S6f
unsponsored (Sunday 29th) * - Review by James Bebbington – Team Pyranha. Obviously I will be biased towards Pyranha boats as Pyranha sponsor me but these are my actual opinions and thoughts of the boat and how I have found it over the time I have been paddling it.
unsponsored Old School Series – Dagger Kingpin
unsponsored (Thursday 26th) * - I haven't really seriously paddled a Dagger kayak since I owned a Vertigo years back. At the time I was pretty happy with the outfitting although I did change the back band. I was therefore very interested in giving the Kingpin a go to see how things had developed over the years.
