Kokatat Blog The Playboating Bible Instruction: the split-wheel
Kokatat Blog - The ICF definition of a split-wheel is . Two consecutive ends, with a change of direction in between each and both ends at a vertical angle between 45° and 100°. The value of a split-wheel is 40 points.
Jackson Kayak Winter Time on the Florida Flats
Jackson Kayak - Winter time can pose challenges yet provide great rewards with the proper approach and tactics. Low water, cold water temps, and sluggish fish can all be factors for either a rewarding or frustrating day on the water.
Pucon Kayak Hostel Standup Paddle Board SUP First Descent Seven Teacups- Rio Claro, Chile
Pucon Kayak Hostel - "Let's grab a SUP board. I've been wanting to SUP the Teacups." The group had three days on the Claro's more than 80 clean cascades over the Christmas holidays. The water was low but runnable. "... I'm pretty sure on SUP this would be a first descent." "... The Twenty Two Saltos was the best section at the low levels. And the lower flow was idea for an easy SUP board paddle to lip and jump, dive, or flip style of SUP boarding. It's rare to find such perfectly clean cascades where you can paddle a SUP board off and not have to worry about your landing."
Kokatat Blog Unknown Toxic - Roger's Wave
Kokatat Blog - I was bored at home, preparing for the slalom session... A boring day just turned into a pretty exciting one! Prime level on the Rhone River. For some reason I don't understand this wave is quite unknown! It's big, comes in quite often, good for combinations and with big flows it might be the biggest or maybe just one of the biggest waves in Europe! I haven't had this much fun during a session for a long time! All tricks felt easy; my favorites - bread and butter and the air-screw went well.
Kokatat Blog King of the Rogue
Kokatat Blog - The King of the Rogue race is held just outside of Jacksonville Oregon in a small town called Gold Hill. The race is different from any other I have participated in as it requires you to get out in two spots and hike over to another rapid with your craft. The course was set up by Olympic gold medalist Oliver Fix, and included class IV rapids and a ride through Ti'lomikh Falls. Once the course is set and the safety meeting has taken place, all competitors can attempt the course as many times as they would like, with their best time counting.
Jackson Kayak Wave Training – The Build to Worlds
Jackson Kayak - In 8 months time the ICF World Championships will be taking place on 'Garb' wave on the Ottawa river in Canada. The Ottawa River is renowned amongst freestyle kayakers as one of the best training venues and is home to some of the best surf waves in the world.
Jackson Kayak Supernatural
Jackson Kayak - The Jackson Kayak SUPerNATURAL stand up paddle board is stable, durable, and offers a variety of activities on the water. The SUPerNATURAL was the right choice for a beautiful father's day sunset paddle at J. Percy Priest Lake in Nashville Tennessee.
AS Watersports Pyranha 9R Customer Review
AS Watersports - As a 50 yr old boater I need a boat that will look after me, fear creeps in once you reach 40 no matter how much you fight against it.
Kokatat Blog Slalom Training in San Marcos, TX
Kokatat Blog - I recently arrived home from a training camp in San Marcos, TX with my slalom coach Jordi and Team Colorado. I've been on the road since Thanksgiving weekend, mainly training slalom in the east for Jr. Worlds in April in Brazil with a little bit of freestyle training along the way.
Trash Paddler A Long Ways from the Water
Trash Paddler - On this morning four days from the halfway point in my 100-day countdown to the vernal equinox, my outside thermometer shows 13 degrees and the barrel, containing paddling gear, is adorned by an absurd white top-hat this morning. Navigating anything other than oceans of fluffy white snow seems a long way off.
Jackson Kayak Tellico in the Duo
Jackson Kayak - One of the things I love most about kayaking is sharing how much fun it is. The Jackson Kayak Duo is the perfect way to share the joy of kayaking with other people.
Kokatat Blog Tequila Diaries
Kokatat Blog - Well I'm back from a road trip to Mexico and boy oh boy was that heaps of fun ! Rather than fly into Mexico City (which is what most people choose to do), we loaded up our Ford Econoline E250 van and left a cold and snowy Colorado December 19th.
Alder Creek Kayak Dry Bags Comparison
Alder Creek Kayak - On the surface, dry bags all seem fairly similar. But in actuality, they are not all cut from the same waterproof cloth. With so many intents and purposes, it can be tough to tell what will work best for you, and more importantly, what will keep your gear safe.
unsponsored 2014 Compilation – Carson Lindsay
unsponsored - A great edit from Carson Lindsay. It looks like 2014 was a great one. This little video is a showcase of some of my favorite moments of kayaking from 2014. The majority of the video was shot in Chile and Argentina, with a little bit of California spice at the end.
Jackson Kayak Ennistymon Falls Race
Jackson Kayak - The Jackson Kayak Irish Whitewater Race League has kicked again for the 2014/15 season. Unlike most destinations Ireland gets its best boating throughout the winter months as storms roll in off the Atlantic Ocean bringing lots of rain to fill up our creeks and rivers.
