Liquidlogic Composite testing Ottawa: Garburator Team LiquidLogic - Many people got to check them out firsthand at Gauley festival and see Jordan out there tearing it up. Liquidlogic is working on a new composite playboat. It doesn't have a name and the only mission for Shane with the boat is to keep testing till it's perfect and figure it out after that. We had an awesome set of sessions on Garburator Wave with the level holding at -1 feet. Here are some of Shane's shots from the sessions and the video with Jordan Poffenberger absolutely killing it.

Adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak World Champs. Mike Dawson - The Sickline Extreme Kayak World Champs have drawn to a close in Oetztal Austria. Another amazing event in the Austrian Alps on the Wellbrucke Rapid. The course was a little bit juicier than previous years, and the field that showed out to battle for the title was intense.

Adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak Worlds Finals Jackson Kayak - Well it was an amazing day. We had great weather, sunny and warm, and perfect water levels. The day started off quarter finals, head to head style. 1st place races 48th, second races 47th, and so on. I was lucky enough to race Michele Ramazza, 2nd and 3rd place finisher the last two years. It was awesome to race such a great competitor and friend, though unfortunately only one could make it.

Playboating, eh? Canada trip to the Ottawa and Montreal Fluid Blog - At the end of this summer, right before I had to head back to school and be something like responsible, my friend Jack Carter and I made a trip north to find some sweet waves and holes to surf. It was a quick trip but a really fun one.

Sam Sutton reclaims title as Extreme Kayak World Champion Playak - 23-year old Sam Sutton from Rotorua in New Zealand impressively demonstrated today that he is still the fastest extreme paddler in the world. At the fifth edition of the adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championship in Tirol's Ötztal Valley, Sutton defended his title with a new course record of 55.84 seconds, undercutting the record he set in 2010 by three seconds. Sutton's compatriot Mike Dawson claimed silver (58.00) with German Paul Böckelmann (58.03) finishing in third.

EJ's Take on the Extreme World Championships Day 1 Competition…. Jackson Kayak - Dane, Nick, Rafa and I showed up here one week ago to begin training for this event.   Only Nick has competed here before and he did really well last year with an 8th place.   Unlike many competitions we go to, this one is a true melting pot of disciplines racing here.   You have World Cup Slalom Champions (current) and you have tons of olympic slalom racers and medalists.

My big wave project Dagger Blogs - My Goal is simple.  It's to stay motivated and passionate about my sport.  The best way for me to do that is by continuing to look for new and exciting challenges.

Feather Fest 2011 Level 6 - Feather Fest is one of my favorite events in California. This year was my 5th year straight attending this event and it was larger than ever boasting over 500+ people and racers.

Homathko River, BC Sweet - The good times in British Columbia just keeps on going. After a long period of warm weather and high water levels, the weather changed and the rivers dropped. I had followed the Homathko water level online since I got here, but its been way too high for a long time. After the cold weather the river dropped fast and the weather forecast gave us a window of five days that might would work out! Homathko was still too high on our first day, but we hope that the weather forecasts would be correct, so we could make it through this four days trip!

Kokatat Congratulates Boomer and Turk on Successful Ellesmere Circumnavigation Kokatat - Kokatat ambassador Erik Boomer and Jon Turk recently became the first team to successfully circumnavigated Ellesmere Island, the northern most island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and the world's tenth largest island. Boomer and Turk skied, paddled, and trekked over 1,500 miles over 104 days before completing their journey on August 19th.

Some Kanumesse Fun! Jackson Kayak - The Kanumesse show was awesome, it is the biggest paddles sports show in the world. Similar to the Summer OR show in Utah, though in Nurnberg Germany, it is more for the European market, as well as only being the paddle sports industry. It is super fun, all the different brands get together to show off their new products, have a good time, with a couple parties.

Adidas Sickline – Extreme Race WC 2011 Jackson Kayak - We are here in Otez, Austria for the Adidas Sickline – Extreme Race World Championships. This is my second year coming, and it is a blast. Otez is an amzing little ski town in a beautiful valley in the Alps. I have been here for a week now, training and paddling with a ton of amazing paddlers; Sam Sutton, Mike Dawson, Michele Ramazza, Rafael Ortiz, Eric Deguil, Jakub Nemec, Thomas Marnics, EJ and Dane Jackson just to name a few.

Boat Testing in Italy with Luke Spencer Immersion Research - In August I took a Fluid Team trip to Europe were I flew to Italy and met up with other Fluid Kayak team paddlers to test a new prototype creek boat Fluid was working on! I flew to Italy where I met David Arnaud, Celliers Kruger and Hugh De Preez. Then headed to the French Alps where we met Val Grollemund and photographer Paul Villecourt. The plan was to paddle the prototype "Bazooka" creek boat to find out if it was ready to start molding.
