CORE Paddles Steve Fisher Joins the CORE Paddles Team
CORE Paddles - So this announcement was being delayed due to some major exposure we were going to receive at OR with the association. We decided to make the announcement at the same time Steve would be premiering some of the world's first ever 3D kayaking video. We attended the Canoe and Kayak / OR party last nigh...
Kayak Venezuela 2nd Descent of the Rio Calderas
Kayak Venezuela - After 2 days scouting, we found a steep river/canyon section running through the town of Calderas. Locals told us that this section had been paddled only once before so we were super excited to get it done.We slept beside the river in our hammocks with the help of some local spirit and tasty boiled yukka. At the crack of dawn we walked 20mins up to the top of the 8km run during a typical tropical rain storm.
Rafting Life Upper Upper Gold River
Rafting Life - Gold River Area Paddling; Gold River Township. The Gold river has a number of different sections. 'Around 5′ said Shayne Vollmers. On This trip we would be doing two of the higher sections. The first one is loads of fun and is around 8kms in length. The road to the put in can be quite exciting. Currently there is lots of active logging happening on the North Island.
Rafting Life The Mission = Piggiot(sieve) Creek
Rafting Life - Vancouver Island Mission; Coffee Stop. Recently myself, Shayne Vollmers and Steve Johnson were able to get out and do Piggiot (sieve) Creek. This was originally done by a crew from TRL, TDub and Bellingham back in May of 2006 with some of the data supplied by Jan Dettmer, an original river daddy of Vancouver Island. By far this is one of the deepest canyon's that I had done on Vancouver Island. It was an amazing trip.
Team LiquidLogic The Outdoor Retail Show 2011
Team LiquidLogic - The Outdoor Retail show is always a blurrr of action for anyone involved in the industry.  We spend months preparing our new lines of products to present to all our dealers at the show.  It looms large on our horizon through out the year.  This year was a huge transition for us at Liquidlogic.  We are back to producing a full flatwater line as well as ...
Palm Blogs Katya at King of Asia Race – Altay Mountains, Russia
Palm Blogs - It was very interesting experience to be back in place which i used to call "my home". I haven't visit Altay for 3 years, and didn't paddle this Rivers for 4 years. But time from 2004-2007, my first four summers in kayak i spend here, paddling every day and sleep under open sky every night, and every autumn it was painful to leave. My life changed a lot since this time in all directions: my mind, my friends, my location (which is in constant change), my kayaking, my dreams and i think i even look different now. It was a bit of surprise, what things here stayed the same, and local paddlers live same lifestyle as 4-5 year ago.
Raoul Collenteur Paddling Hedmark
Raoul Collenteur - To follow up on yesterdays here is a story on the last week which we spend in Hedmark, the region bordering to Sweden on the east of Norway. The region is known (or actually unknown) for its easy paddling perfect for the whitewater 3-4 paddler. To paddle with Lizzy a little more and be able [...]

Kayak Sri Lanka Club Trip to Norway
Kayak Sri Lanka - Having spent part of my past three summers in Norway i noticed that the Sjoa, Otta and Valldal areas have many world class grade 3/4 runs and was therefore suprised at how few club trips had been to Norway. The trips that had been had focused largely on the Hedmark area. I therefore, slightly nervously, planned a club trip to Norway with Imperial College London canoe club. The trip went amazingly well with everyone paddling everyday and with some imppressive paddling from some of those less experienced.
Sam Sutton Norway last day
Sam Sutton - Norway the land of rain, fish, potatoes, oil, rain and some of the best rivers in the world. After 6 weeks up in Norway it is good to be back in the Germany where one can afford to buy a beer and afford to buy Mc Donalds, but is undeniable Norway has the most epic rivers in the world, no matter ...
Level 6 The South Ram
Level 6 - The South Ram River is one of the few multi-day kayak trips in Alberta. The river flows east out of the Rockies through a deep scree canyon that is home to countless sheep and eventually opens up and winds its way to the North Saskatchewan River west of Rocky Mountain House. The trip is a 1-3 day grade 3-4 run comprised mainly of class 1-2 with a smattering of class 4 or 5 drops and a few harder canyon sections.
Raoul Collenteur Around the Fjords
Raoul Collenteur - ... After a quick run down the upper Rauma the challenge was on: the lower Rauma! Last year we paddled the first two drops here but were too late to go on and so we were all superkeen to run it this year. We got to the first two waterfalls, and ran it again, getting fired up for the rest. ...
Team Pyranha California Dreaming
Team Pyranha - While lying in bed after an intense dream about kayaking the infamous Royal Gorge of the N. Fork of the American river, I had run once before 4 years ago, I sent a text message to my brother Graham that read, "Let's go to the Royal Gorge this week!" Expecting him to question my sanity, he instead responded with a simple, "OK". ... Quite possibly the most EPIC Royal Gorge trip in history, our group of 12 had 4 "Royal Flushes", meaning 4 kayakers in the group ran every big drop on the river, ...
