News Watch Headlines Paddling for Humanity Starboard - Every now and then it pays to travel via the road of the path of least resistance. When traveling through various parts of the world, there are often things that are out of your control that ultimately lead to the destination you are going to end up in. ICF Freestyle World Cup II ICF - The first ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup concluded in Rock Island, Tennessee (USA) on Sunday with Emily Jackson (USA) and Peter Csonka (SVK) taking poll position going into the next World Cup. Future looks bright for World Rafting International Rafting Federation - Rafting was the real winner after the 2012 Youth and Masters World Championships came to a conclusion, following the last of four disciplines, the 'Downriver' being raced along the Vltava River today. Taylor River Jackson Kayak - Today we woke to a mostly cloudless sky and a beautiful morning sun, a nice change from yesterday evenings' rainy, wet weather. We packed our boats in the vans and headed to the RMOC outpost. Mens Prelims at NOC Pigeon World Cup Jackson Kayak - Championship series is the Pigeon River in Tennessee, 3 hours towards the east of Rock Island just out of the way of the approaching hurricane! Hosted at the incredible NOC camp, this venue is awesome in its convenience. Nick Troutman breaks it down Rapid Magazine Blog - S-Turn is one of the most famous and celebrated rapids in Mexico. It is the crux rapid on the notorious Roadside section of the Rio Alseseca, dropping 20 fast and twisty feet before ending in an eight-foot-wide mini gorge. Floodwater Dreams Immersion Research - When the days get colder and the green trees slowly turn into a nice orange color, it´s the time of the year that my stomach begins to prickle. It´s the time oft the year when i drive my car to the infamous otz valley in Austria. New 11'3 wind SUP Board NC Paddle Surfer - I started sanding at 7am this morning. Finished and surfing in front of the house at 3pm. Exhausted! The rocker is performing exactly like I expected. The stability is better than the Amundson. Now I just need to test it with a sail. Bellissima Corran SUP - The Belissima really is getting some traction. As people everywhere try out this amazing board, so they're getting a real feel for what makes it so fun. Lake Alvin and Nine Mile Creek Kayaking the Lakes of South Dakota - The sites described are places where I have kayaked over the past few years, mostly in South Dakota but sometimes including locations in Iowa and Minnesota. Of Comrades and The Boof Kanal Adventures of Burgess - I took to the familiar road from Billings, following highway 212 into the Southwest and driving in thoughtful silence. Ahead the Beartooth Mountains filled the horizon amongst the cloudless blue sky. TG Canoe and Kayak Pat Kellner - I helped out the guys over at the Milkcrate on an interview with Duane Te Grotenhuis, of TG Canoe and Kayak. Y'all probably have heard me talk about TG Canoe and Kayak before, because it is a great kayak shop along the San Marcos River. Sprint Nationals, Slalom World Cup, Freestyle World Cup Team USA - Gig Harbor, Wash. is within an hour's drive from Green Lake, the site of the 2012 U.S. Sprint National Championships. But the Gig Harbor Canoe/Kayak Racing Team felt right at home as they won their first National Championship Team Title. SUP Man 2012 Wrapping Up SUP Connect - Hurry, there are only a few days left to vote for the man you believe deserves to be the Supconnect SUP man of the Year for 2012. The voting portion of this contest will end on August 31st at midnight pacific standard time. Kayaking Summer Isles to Ullapool Inflatable Kayaks & Packrafts - Right now the skies are slate grey while white horses gallop across the sound and the washing hangs horizontally.
