Last year I raced on a 12'6 in attempt to beat all the 14ft boards. I managed to come 3rd overall.This year I went for a different approach of paddling the 14ft and go for the record. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. I put together two videos documenting the trip. The first is video is the shorter one, showing just the most difficult rapid in the Grand Canyon, called Lava Falls. Slave River Paddlefest 2013 Aquabatics Calgary - The Slave River in Fort Smith, NWT. We spent a grand total of 8 days in this beautiful area. Before I say anymore I have to express the feeling of awe that washes over every paddler and land lubber alike upon first sight of this river. Spraydecks – Bungee Vs Rand unsponsored - Over the last couple of years I have been using spraydecks using a bungee cord system. However a couple of decks using a rand system have found there way into my kit bag. The Battle of The Paddle Shore Break SUPracer - 17 days and counting, 17 days and counting until Danny Ching and Annabel Anderson will defend their Battle of the Paddle Elite Race crowns against the likes of Connor Baxter, Travis Grant, Kai Lenny, Candice Appleby and Jenny Kalmbach.
