Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge Announced World Paddle Association - The World Paddle Association, proudly announces the addition of the Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge to the 2015 WPA National Race Series and the Salt Life Cup to be held on August 22 & 23, 2015 in Hood River, OR. The Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge has been a premier stand up paddle event since 2011 and a WPA sanctioned race for three years. The Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge will also offer double points as a WPA National race and the Salt Life Cup for 2015. Whitewater Riders Kayak Camp Canoe Kayak - Toketee Falls is a narrow sheet of white water that spills 85 feet into a deep pool flanked with moss and ferns. For most people, the falls is a pretty scenic destination along Oregon's Highway 138, but for extreme kayaker Katrina Van Wijk, it was an opportunity to push the limits and earn a first female descent. Team Dagger's 2015 Roster Announced Canoe Kayak - Team Dagger's 2015 roster includes 21 top-caliber paddlers who are progressing the sport of kayaking as they explore uncharted rivers, compete in elite kayaking events, and share their passion for rivers and adventure with the next generation. Sometimes its stressful not knowing, yes, but on the whole it is really fun, it allows for new opportunities to present themselves, and in return, I get to meet new people, experience new challenges, and explore more of myself and the world around me. This year, all things SUP and Kayak Fishing Nikki Rekman - Our slower, winter season gives us an opportunity to take a little time off for traveling (in this years case, did some work around our house) and plan for the upcoming, busy season. Jonas' Experimental Grip Design Paddle Making - Fellow paddle maker, Jonas from Sweden , has been busy documenting his creations over on his new blog, Paddle Reflections. He has been working on a very interesting experimental design which features an elongated Northwoods style grip with asymmetrical notches for the grip thumb. Great Britain Freestyle Kayak Team Trials Kokatat Blog - Here is a person who has been training pretty hard for to qualify to make it to the GB team for the World Championship. He did not make, as he came top 7th overall and only the top 5 made it the team. Well at least as he says his freestyle skills improved!! The two competitions were held at two spots - Hurley Weir and the Olympic venue Lea Valley Olympic Whitewater course. Here is a person who has been training pretty hard for to qualify to make it to the GB team for the World Championship. He did not make, as he came top 7th overall and only the top 5 made it the team... The Elan Valley SW Sea Kayaking - The valley of the Afon Elan, a major tributary of the River Wye. It was flooded by a series of dams in the early twentieth century, with the water piped off from Wales to the English Midlands. The East Lyn One of Britain'S Best PeakUK - This winter we have spent a lot of time paddling down in Devon, particularly at the East Lyn river. We have totalled up probably forty or fifty runs down the river; which isn't bad going since we live almost 200 miles away! Despite the long drive you will not be disappointed. Music City Smallie Kayak Angler Magazine - This is my personal best smallmouth, said Craig Dye. I have been trying to break the 20 inch smallmouth mark since I moved to Nashville two years ago.
