Canoe Guy BC How To Buy or Sell a Wood-Canvas Canoe
Canoe Guy BC - Frequently, I get an email from someone who is looking to sell their wood-canvas canoe. Typically, they tell me, "The canoe has been stored under-cover for the last twenty or thirty years and is in excellent shape. What would be a reasonable price to ask for my canoe?" Conversely, a person is considering the purchase of an old canoe and wants my opinion on whether or not the asking price is a reasonable one.
Newfoundland Kayakoholic Slow progress on another Greenland paddle
Newfoundland Kayakoholic - Last September I sized up my pieces of cedar that I had left over from making previous Greenland paddles.  I had enough to make another paddle for myself and just enough to make a second smaller one.   I went to work and cut the strips, glued and and clamped the two paddles... I decided I would work on the smaller paddle first.  it would be too small for me but I had a fellow paddler in mind that this small paddle should suit and I wanted to get it done before they went out of town later in the month.

Will Herman Yorkshire grit and a yellow moon
Will Herman - I got into whitewater kayak well after plastic boats hit the scene and revolutionized the sport, but I have an appreciation for history and plenty of experience in composite sea kayaks and polo boats. Plastic kayaks are so much tougher and more durable, they hold up to abuse and allow for design innovation and mass production to serve more paddlers.

Trash Paddler - The Assabet River was found with ample water yesterday morning. The rains of last week had flowed in from the many tributaries to bring the lower stretch of the river to an ideal level.
