Jackson Kayak - Well, even though competition season is over and I'm back home, that doesn't mean all the fun has ended! After being home only a week from 3 months in Europe, I was able to get out on a run I'd been dying to go on for several years now, Cherry Creek, in California! I have always been out training or competing when it was running, but this year, I finally got back in time.

ICF Paull fit and firing for Paralympic quest
ICF - Para-paddler Graham Paull will make his Paralympic Games debut on Wednesday. He had made two ICF Para-Canoeing World Championships appearances and an A Final men's KL1 200m event at the 2015 World Champs. At the A Final event, he came 5th place and he was less than a second slower than the top 3 there, so he is going to put a strong performance at the Paralympic Games. Let's watch out for him!!

American Rivers - On Wednesday, in it's largest expansion since 1949, Yosemite National Park grew to include 400 acres of lush meadow. Ackerson Meadow, along the park's western boundary, was part of John Muir's original plan for Yosemite.

Hala - Surfs Up on the South Platte Surf is in at the new River Run Park in Englewood, Colorado. The new park, part of a twenty-five million dollar plan to revitalize and reconfigure several drops on the South Platte in the southern Denver metro area is open.

I watched the Cedar River swell to spring time flows in what is usually the hottest, driest time in Iowa. Exciting to watch the gauge rise and I'm grateful to be able to enjoy the high flows with such warm, beautiful weather too.
