For an expedition of this type, a team must be small enough to stay nimble, flexible and easy to supply. But it also must be big enough to have a full array of complimentary skills, and a decent amount of redundancy. I proved fortunate in deciding to invite two highly experienced paddlers to join me as companions and complete our team trio. Coach Bio: William Chang NY Outrigger - Will was introduced to paddling in 1996 with the sport of Dragonboat racing. He competed in venues throughout the United States, Canada and Asia. In 2010, he made the transition to Outrigger Canoe paddling where he has competed in races along the East Coast of the US, Canada and Hawaii. SUP Mag UK - So there we have it: another National Watersports Festival weekend full of windsurfing, SUP, kayaking, parties, good times and plenty of 'ooo aars'. Yep, pirates featured heavily at this year's event and Saturday suitably went off in fine style. We'll be honest. The weather wasn't great for Sat, and late in the day did see some heavy downpours. This didn't deter the pro fleet who put on a fine display of acrobatics as the dark enveloped the event site though.
