I think surf kayaking is evolving very quickly, now with the new amazingly light Watertech boats I see even bigger and better airs becoming a regular thing.

This was really sweet being that this is an awesome big wave with some huge air potential. The levels were fairly low because there is some pipe work being done down stream. The low levels wave was steep and green and kind of difficult to catch, though when you are on it you can launch!

I've been in a 2 month kayaking hiatus since returning from an incredible summer spent in Colorado. This is probably the longest I have not been in a boat in 10 years of kayaking.

The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is definitely one of the best runs in Colorado. It has great rapids, challenging portages, unbelievable scenery, incredible camping, great fishing, and a scenic hike out.

The Gauley is known not only for it amazing rapids but also for world class down river play. I was fortunate enough to get to travel back to WV again for work and was able to get some quality time on the Gauley in my favorite play boat of all time the Mon-Star.
