Dagger Blogs Beaver-fest – Labor Day Weekend in NY
Dagger Blogs - Labor Day weekend marks the beginning of the Fall boating season in New England. There's boating all summer, but as the leaves start to change and 'peeping' season begins in earnest, the rain starts to actually bring rivers up for more than a few hours at a time. thebigbluetree.com Debs' Norwegian Top Three.
thebigbluetree.com - We arrived in Norway to see it experiencing its one in fifty year flood, which made Hedmark a very fun place to start our Norwegian adventure, with big long bouncy wavetrains and large holes. The aim, after a few days in Hedmark, was to head to Telemark then up to Voss via the Zambezi section ...
Level 6 Lachine with the boys!
Level 6 - After a quick stop by the Level Six office to say hello to the boys we rallied all the way to Lachine where we spent Saturday and Sunday paddling the crap out of all the waves there. The icing on the cake was that we had a Jet Ski thank to Sam and GP who are the reigning locals there. Thanks boys for a great weekend!
Sweet The Trollcanyon of the Susna and Laksforsen revisited
Sweet - This year´s rally to the north happened in early august. There are a couple of reasons for that: First, the moskito population is rapidly declining, the water is low, and the crowds are gone. The north has become a popular place to go these days, and according to the local farmer at the put-in for the full descent of the Susna, they have been swarmed with kayakers in Hattfjelldal this year. He thought it was great, as he and the family got used to walking to a view point of one of the classic waterfalls on the Susna to watch the show whenever the kayakers put on.
Sweet Ottawa River Festival
Sweet - The first weekend of Sept. played host to the Ottawa River Festival. With hundreds of kayakers gathered on the Ottawa for the warm water and perfect water levels it was the perfect weekend to host a Freestyle Competition. All classes had a good number of participants as it was the last days for the OKS Keener Program as well as some of the Kayak Academy's were present.
