The Big Apple is a challenging marathon race of the SEA Paddle NYC event as racers paddle 26.5 miles around Manhattan in the blistering mid-summer heat. Another commendable aspect of the event is that it raises money for multiple charities. Yes a tough paddle challenge for a good cause. Team Gb Tops Paracanoe Medal Table At Euros Portugal Sportscene - What a couple of weeks it has been for GB; Fiona Pennie becomes K1W European Champion, Hannah Brown becomes Wildwater World Champion, Ben Brown finishes a superb fourth in the Marathon Euros and now it is the paracanoeists' turn. Interview with Russian Sprint Canoeist Ilya Pervukhin Sportscene - Ilya Pervukhin (born July, 6, 1991) is a Russian sprint canoeist. He was the winner of the World and European junior championships. Oklahoma River World'S First Permanently Lit Racecourse Sportscene - The Oklahoma River became the world's first permanently lit racecourse June 29 in Oklahoma City. A ceremony marked the occasion during the second annual SandRidge Energy Stars and Stripes River Festival. Funds for the lights came from MAPS 3, a 10-year, $777 million construction program designed to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma City.
