SUP Mexico Overnight SUP Adventure in Mexico!
SUP Mexico - In my relentless search for places to escape the cold, I found Mexico!  A refuge from the polar vortexes of the U.S. and also a paddlers paradise.  There is so much diversity of whitewater that you need multiple river craft to enjoy it all!  The headwaters of the Santa Maria River lie in the semi desert region between the states of Queretaro and San Luis Potosi.  150 miles from the gulf of Mexico where it finally meets the salt water.  Santa Maria has no Dams and all 150 miles are excellent runnable whitewater.
International Rivers US Congress Sets Strict Limits on Global Dam Funding
International Rivers - Against all evidence of environmental destruction, widespread impoverishment and cost overruns, the World Bank is once again embracing mega-dams. In FY 2014, the Bank poured more than half of its power sector lending into large hydropower projects.

SUPboarder 2015 Starboard Pro 9'0" x 29" review
SUPboarder - 9'0" pro boards have always been a funny one for me, weighing 85-90 kgs depending on my chocolate consumption!, the 118L volume is spot on for a stable wobble free session but I seem to spend more time on my smaller or bigger boards. The new 2015 9'0" pro has changed all that, I now seem to spend more time on the 9'0" than any other board.
SUP Magazine Paddling The Danube River
SUP Magazine - One step inside the blue tile shower/toilet combo and I projectile vomit everywhere. I drop to my knees before the porcelain throne as painful convulsions leave me gasping for air. After a half-minute of hope you're not eating lunch while reading this, I crumple into the fetal position. There's nothing left.
Chris Baer Nam Ngiap Adventure
Chris Baer - Nam Ngiap, it was supposed to be a class 3 first descent, turned out to be a 3 day, 36 mile, class 5 adventure dropping 2,500 feet!
Jackson Kayak Hit & Run Kayak Fishing with Zander 13
Jackson Kayak - Today I originally wanted to go to the nearest big lake to see if the zanders are active. The voice of my backyard river was, however much stronger. I also had less time than I would need for a much longer trip to the lake so it was time for a quick hit'n run mission.
Kayak Angler Magazine Sarasota Slammin
Kayak Angler Magazine - I do a lot of fishing, said Heath Panganiban. This is a small 22 inch red. That morning I launched and it was a new spot I was hitting in Sarasota. Tide was pretty low, but I still had about 13 inches, just enough for my Hobie's peddles to be able to function.

Paddle Making - Many of you might know I routinely feature creations from other paddlemakers. Blog reader Jonas from Sweden has recently discovered the joy of carving custom paddles and sent in some photos of an experimental design.

Riding Bumps Should a Woman Buy a 14 Foot Sup Race Board?
Riding Bumps - I am shopping around for a new board. I just sold my 12-6. It was an older board that was quite tough for me to haul around especially as it got colder out. It felt just too cumbersome when conditions got cold and slippery.
The Roaming Dials 37 Years, 100 Trips, 14,500 Miles, and 850 Days
The Roaming Dials - It's been most of my life and I may have missed some but these are the big lines (over a week or 55 miles), the important ones, and the little ones that matter.
SUP Magazine Bart De Zwart on Expedition Paddling
SUP Magazine - For me it's the challenge just to do something most people cannot do. And life is so much nicer after you do something like this. When someone's sick and they come out of it, they see life differently. They appreciate things more. You don't take things for granted.
