News Watch Headlines Isle Heads to Portugal by Van & Moroccan Sahara for New Year's 2015 Isle Surf and SUP - After seeing the footage of the now famous big waves of Nazare, Portugal I figured it was time to hop across the pond for the holidays in search of a glimpse and maybe even a paddle in the waves of Nazare. Sadly the swell timing couldn't have been worse and we would be greeted with near flat seas and stormy skies for most our time in Portugal. ACA & USACK Partnership Playak - The ACA and USACK Board of Directors have just announced a joint partnership. ACA Executive Director Wade Blackwood has been named Chief Executive Officer of USACK and will lead both organizations. Kilroy in the Fort Jackson Kayak - After getting skunked by walleyes on a prior trip the week before, I was more than ready to fish in the big city with Mike & Kyle again for another chance at 'em one day this past November. This particular fishing spot is close to downtown in northeast Indiana's biggest city and is one place I never expected I would be fishing at all, let alone from a kayak. Especially in thirty four degree weather. Surfing Hawaii on the Mach 1 Corran SUP - Here are a couple of great shots sent to me by multi-time customer Kyle. He got these shots of himself on a Mach1, with his mate on a Retro, enjoying some waves. I'm just posting this because the photos are great. Guide to Ocean Freestyle Jackson Kayak - Living in a small costal town in New Zealand, it's a decent drive to a good whitewater river, but luckily being a coastal town I'm surrounded by the great Pacific Ocean and sandy beaches. The water may be saltier and the waves are moving but there is still soo much fun to be had. Mexico Bound Adam Frey - This winter, after my return from a course with work in Ontario which unfortunately caused me to miss the autumn season in Quebec/The Northeast besides Moosefest I headed for a long drive down to Mexico solo to see what I could find. Hal Rosoff Classic At The Newport Aquatic Center SUPracer - Held at the famous NAC (Newport Aquatic Center) training facility, the Hal Rosoff Classic is a bit of an institution in the southern California paddling scene. This year the race once again attracted a strong field in total over 200 paddlers were out there on Newport Harbor this morning. A story coming down through the ages has a certain Captain Kelly, on time Lieutenant of the pirate Peter Easton, hid a huge fortune in gold coins on what is now Kelly's Island in Conception Bay. 2015 Standup World Tour Kicks Off With Na Kama Kai Youth Challenge SUP Magazine - Competitors, kids, families and fans are all gathered here at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu's fabled North Shore this morning, with competition officially commencing for the opening events of the 2015 Standup World Tour. Dates Confirmed For The 2015 Battle Of The Paddle Brazil SUPracer - Dates for the 2015 Battle of the Paddle Brazil have been confirmed: We're heading back to the land of acai and skimpy bikinis on the weekend of November 21 & 22. Cross-country Skiing in the Peak District Jim Krawiecki - Around Manchester the snow came down in fits and starts. At one point the airport was closed until both runways could be cleared of snow. Dusi board in Latvia Corran SUP - Andris Bisnieks in Riga, on the Daugava River in the middle of winter with his brand new custom Dusi. It looks rather cold if you ask me. We're looking forward to seeing this board in action this summer. Green River PFD with Pat Keller and Hunt Jennings Jackson Kayak - I have dreamt of running the Green River Narrows for almost 2 years now. My main goal for 2015 was to run the Green towards the end of the year. Never did I realize that I would be running it so soon.
