The forecast had been for very light wind on this day, so rather than make the long crossing over to Vieques, we decided to sleep in and then just go back to St. Thomas, spending the night at Druif Bay, Water Island, which would take a few miles off the long leg the next day. A pruner to compliment my hatchet and saw Tony Paradise - I've had a nagging cold for what seems like forever. I've paddled through it the last three weekends but last week's paddle set me back. This weekend I decided I best stay off the water to give my body the rest it needs to get over the cold.
