Immersion Research Immersion Research: Ohiopyle Falls Access Public Meeting Nov 22nd
Ohiopyle State Park is conducting a public meeting on Saturday, Nov 22, 2008, to gather input and feed back on a proposal, under Bureau of State Parks evaluation, which would provide non-commercial private boating access to Ohiopyle Falls.

welve days from now, on November 25th, 2008, Daniel Belanger from New York, will set off on a solo expedition that will last two years to photograph remote wildlife.Early sponsors of the expedition are Tiderace Kayaks, Kokatat, Brunton, Lendal, Suunto, SOG, North Water, Snap Dragon Design, Underwater Kinetics, Fox Fury, Aquapac, and LaCie.

This stream has been done only a handfull of times, and it has been a long time since I have run it. The last time I did it I had a blast on most of the bouldery sections however in the end I got eaten by the faulty drop, we will refer to the drop as being faulty because it is formed by a fault line and the river spins a ninety which is cool to look at but means there is a rock at the bottom of the drop which as I will explain later will flip you up.

Like I said yesterday I was paddling on the Leven today and that's what I did. I met up with a paddler at the garage in Newby Bridge, quickly changed vehicles, and then met up with four more paddlers at the get in.

We got up in the morning and things were still blower! We agreed on the Washougal drainage crossed our fingers and headed for Stebbins Creek which is a trib. to the Upper Washougal! The crew was strong with 7 of us myself, Ryan Scott, Scott Baker, Dave Hoffman, Keel Brightman, Tony Skrivanek, and Dan from NY who was a friend of Ryan's.
