CKS Blog: WaveSport Project review The WaveSport Project series has been getting quite a bit of attention recently, mainly do to the introduction of the ultra-light, carbon-fiber Project 54Cx. Peter Csonka also won the 2008 World Freestyle Championships in a Project 52, which gives reason to think that this boat is still a top notch freestyle machine.

Same Deep Water: Brazil: Part One Downstream was more of a jungle-bushwhack, rappel, snake/spider kind of mission around two huge falls in a very vertical and tall canyon. It turned out that turning around and going back upstream was a similar endeavor, lacking a rappel, but substituted with a heavy population of spiders.

PeakUK: White Nile Update The Bujagali Dam project is well under way and construction of the dam has already seen the loss of two of the major rapids on the Day 1 section (Ugly Sisters and Total Gunga). Fortunately there are still plenty of other rapids to keep one amused on this section including Bujagali Falls, Silverback and a handful of back channels to test your hangover on.

UK Freestyle: Selections - results After a couple of previous attempts the GB team selection event was finally held on a wave, which is great stuff as the World Championships in Thun, Switzerland (Aug/Sept 09) will be on a wave! The venue was Hurley weir on the Thames.

Whitewater: Idaho proposes for boat fee The Idaho House of Representatives approved a bill yesterday that would require every boat on Idaho waters to bear an annually issued invasive species sticker. The stickers will cost $5 for each non-motorized boat and would be good for one year. The bill will immediately go to the Senate, where public input from the paddling community will immediately be essential.

The Standup Paddleboard Harbor Cleanup is open to all SUP'ers. To participate meet at the Fish Houseon Saturday March, 28th at 10am.

Fraser Valley WW: Rio Antigua:Mexico The Antigua is a modest III/III- river with a number of easy headwall drops to practice with. If you haven't paddled headwalls before this is a great river to head down and enjoy.
