LiquidLore: Skookum Creek If you do find yourself going to the Skookum, get ready to scratch the shit out of your car, have a good bash down to the water, run some rapids and then some big waterfalls.

Jackson Kayak: Bladder waves in Idaho Idaho had two white water festivals this month. The first was the Payette Boise Revival (PBR) and the second was the Payette River Experience.

LL Ladies Lounge: Fun in Silverton It just rained here in the tiny town of Silverton, Colorado for 24 hours, hard. In the spirit of keeping it local, saving gas, and paddling in our backyard I rallied the "Silverton A-Team" (Jen Ross, Michael Barton and I) to go run our local manky creek this afternoon, Cement Creek.

PeakUK US: Two months roadtrip I'm just about to wrap up a two month long roadtrip following the competition circuit, and head home and get ready for the next trip. I figured I'd share some of the highlights.

Mt. Hood H2O: Zigzag River The creek was really fun and going from this bridge to the lower highway 26 bridge is a good section of very difficult class III.

Eric Jackson: 2010 Star: Rock Island with Dane Dane has been anxiously awaiting his first adult boat, the 2010 Star.

Jackson Kayak: 13 years old Evan Moore shares his 2010 All-Star Experience The new All-Star is incredible. I am just big enough to paddle it. The Jackson team was really nice in letting me paddle.

PaddleBlogs: South American style As soon as you put in you will start with a nice grade III section to warm up, and not far from there you will have the first big one, which was looking like a big monster at that water level.

This River Life: First Spencers Hole Rodeo: Results The rides were amazing with the best ride of the day being a non-stop 45 second mobius tumble. A move previously though impossible, starting with a right to left split and ending with a clean air back-loop making one full vertical.

Todd Wells: Swift Water Rescue Class We spent our time in and out of the water understanding and practicing a variety of rescue techniques. I was already aware of and had used many of the rescue techniques, but methods such as the Z-Drag system and foot entrapment resolution were new to me.

KayakQuixotica: 350 Scientists say that 350 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere is the safe limit. Currently we are around 390 PPM. So as part of the 350 project the kayaks of the Inland Sea Kayaking Symposium formed a big 350 which was photographed from the air.

CKS Squad: Vallecito Each year when things start slowing down in New Mexico I try to get up to Vallecito creek outside Durango for a few runs. It is one of the most amazing places in Colorado, and is just such a good run with really fun moves whether its high or low.

PaddleBlogs: Volvo Ocean race stopover in Galway For the past 3 weeks my home town Galway has been a festival of fun because of The Volvo Ocean Race. We have had sun, atmosphere, concerts and good old Irish Craic!

LL Ladies Lounge: Rogue river adventure: Day 2 and 3 Steve used an inflatable kayak while Josh and I paddled in our spud boats. Our gear boat was captained by Josh's mom, Debbie. She was actually one of the first women to row rafts on the grand canyon.

Got Boof?: Cucumber and McClintock The two largest rapids of the creek were a two-tiered waterfall we boofed down the center on and a tight rock jumble before the tunnel that required a stroke or two to keep from getting beat up in the hole and taking a trip through the tunnel sans boat.

Jackson Kayak: John McConville: Midwest update 4 Opening up the morning with a bang, Chris Baer, Nathan Borth and I fired up The Encampment River with great lines all around.

David Taylor Maurier: Piute Creek I hiked all the way up that drainage, and up Piute Creek to the pass some 15 miles up the trail when I was a kid and always wanted to get back there to boat it.

Hans Heupink: Paddling in Zeeland: Oosterschelde - Westerschelde Weather was great, impressive Dutch sky's, sunny and dry. Sea state was a joy: good wind and waves! I do admit the first day was heavy: battling 45 km against the wind.

surfski.info: Michelle Eder won: Big Durban Surf Matt Bouman extended his unbeaten run in the Discovery Men's Health surf ski series with an emphatic victory in the Island Tribe Scottburgh Surf Classic, while Michelle Eder posted her maiden series win in tricky South Coast surf conditions.

Ke Nalu SUP: Big Winds SUP race I wandered back to the hook and people started showing up. Soon there was a surprisingly large crowd. I had jersey number 46, and there were a lot more people that signed up after me.

Jackson Kayak: The Hero video We experienced great flows, sweet weather and wonderfull 14 days of kayaking.

PaddleBlogs: Its cooler in Mountains, even in Oklahoma The long hot summer has set in here in Oklahoma. However, you can still find flowing water on the Mountain Fork River in Southeastern Oklahoma.

Playak: Design a Playak Header Image and Win Some Swag! Every couple of years, it's time for some graphic changes on Playak, and 2009 is one of those years. Since I'm so hopeless with graphics, I thought it would be a good idea to ask our readers to design something better. Being a small independent site, I don't have huge giveaways for just one small grpahic, but I have some stuff lying around here, and I'll let the winners choose from that :)

SUP Surf: 2009 Surftech Jay Moriarity Memorial Paddleboard Race With a light fog greeting them at dawn, the record number of racers packing New Brighton Beach at the 8th Annual Surftech Jay Moriarity Memorial Paddleboard Race presented by CLIF Bar had little idea what was in store for them on the 12 mile course.

surfski.info: Puerto Rico Surfski & Kayak Championships 2009: Race report The Puerto Rico Ocean Racing together with the Federation of Canoe & Kayaks of Puerto Rico, organized a 12 mile triangle between the coast of Fajardo and the Islands of Icacos and Palominos in front of the five-star El Conquistador Resort Hotel.
