Mt. Hood H2O Mt. Hood H2O: Eagle Creek
This mission was about the first raft decent of Eagle Creek. The day was led by Hans Hooman who did all the legwork and made the calls to get this together.

With the wave like the Ruins you get really big air but with it being such a consistent feature you get people throwing lots of style into there tricks.

We were surfed out for a few days while levels were raging, and it didn't look like anything was going to come down, so we headed to the Clavey which had a good level, and is a very fun creek with cool rapids in little mini gorges.

This is one of the biggest weekends of the whole year for boat sales and demos, and team JK was there with full force. We had people trying out boats left right and center.

This is one of my favorite events being that you have an extreme race and a freestyle rodeo in the same day, and it is an overall points competition being that if you want to place well you have to do when in the race and the rodeo.

There were invisible channels in the water and we had to guess which way to go, to avoid getting stuck on the bottom. The river bottom was also thick, soft mud and slightly sandy - walking on it would have been truly horrible.

The New Haven river near Bristol, VT is one of my favorite resources in the state. It's probably the most consistently runnable, good Class 4/5 whitewater in VT, and the lower sections are also some of the best places to spend some time casting a line.

With water temps in the 40's over 20 competitors battled the swollen Colorado River in a 3 part competition combining downriver racing, slalom, and wave surfing.
