Level 6 Blog: The Alberta Rockies - Mikkel St. Jean-Duncan . The Elbow is a short run with three 4+ drops. Portaging Elbow Falls is more trouble than its worth but the Notch and Slide have well worn trails for easy multiple runs turning the 2 km run into a strenuous day. Chicago Area Sea Kayakers Association: Trip Report - Adventures in Canada Darlington was our first stop. Close to Toronto, this park has Lake Ontario access, with a nice little lake that almost connects. Keith and I paddled the lake then hopped over a thin stretch of land to do the big lake. Dirt cliffs, a few nice parks and some surfing waves made this paddle enjoyable if not thrilling.

Am. Whitewater: Cresta Flows Again! North Fork Feather 2009 (CA) After three years of waiting a new flow schedule for the Cresta reach of the North Fork Feather River has been approved by FERC. This flow shecdule is a result of colaboration between American Whitewater, PG&E and the State and Federal resource agencies. New higher base flows will begin on May 1st.

Paddling Life: 31 Year Old Oregon Paddler Dies on the Little White Salmon River, WA On Monday, a crew of local raft guides and kayakers found the body of 31-year-old Ryan Morgan pinned underwater in the rapid below Spirit Falls on the Little White Salmon River, WA. During his run on Sunday, Ryan made the portage around Spirit, got back in his kayak at the standard spot, and was swept into the sieves and logjam on river left directly below the put in spot. This was the first kayaker fatality on the class V Little White Salmon River.
