Simon Westgarth Simon Westgarth: Rarity runs in Piemonte & Ticino
Solid water on the Cave drop and Cylinder meant we were able to find a few new lines for that super cool dry hair descent, an amazing sprinkle of perfection on top of that Italian gelato we found in Bar Cervo on the banks of the Sesia.

Jackson Kayak Jackson Kayak: Four on Four Mexico Prep
Just did an awesome four days on Fordyce Creek, a fall release in California negotiated by American Whitewater. With all the rain this season, there have been some epic river days with lots of big water and surfing. The Gauley river has run from 200 to 22,000 cfs, and everywhere in between this summer. At about 4,500 to 5,500 cfs Five Boat Hole or wave, as it was when we were there, forms at the bottom of Koontz's Flume, the first major rapid on the lower Gauley.

Tony Paradise Tony Paradise: On personal faults
The swell in Bay Bulls harbour where we put in gave us an indication that the swell outside was going to be in the 2 metres range. When we got outside we found a sizeable swell with moderately confused seas due to waves rebounding off the cliffs. It was fun.
