Playak: Mini-Interview: Adam Harvey A mini-interview with Adam Harvey, 2009 HP Kayak Surf Junior World Champion.

Wavesport Blogs: Reversing Falls, Return of the High Tide! The second wave only comes in just before and during peak high tide and is called Lunatic wave. The reason for this being that the outflow from the wave travels into the main channel very quickly, which at peak high tide leads into massive boils and whirlpools.

Valentin Grollemund: Adidas Sickline 2009 - trainings I'm already in Austria in the valley of Ötztal where take place the Adidas Sickline World Championship of Extrem Kayak the next week.

Palm Blogs: Bitchin' with the Axiom With the spring tides in September Deb P and I took the chance to paddle at the Bitches in Dagger's new baby the 'Axiom'. Thursday wasn't the biggest tide but a glorious day to paddle to the Bitches to surf, and to charge around in the rapids with the seals.

LiquidLore: There's Something About Fall... The actual run is paddled at range of levels, typically below 200 cms and in playboats, with the caveat that 5 or 6 of the "sisters" are portaged.

Level 6 Blog: Nene Whitewater Coaching Day - Chris Chapman As part of the day we offered several 2 hour sessions which included intro & intermediate whitewater skills as well as intros to Whitewater Racing, Slalom & Freestyle. The event was attended by over 40 paddlers of all different ages.

Markus Leppaenen: 1st Munich International Kayak-Freestyle Championchips The day after the canoe trade show in Nuernberg the first int. Munich kayak-freestyle championships were held in Munich at the Flosslaende, a small artificial canal in Munich which has two small holes for just two weeks every year when there is a slalom competition as well.

Jackson Kayak: 2010 Fun Review by World Class Academy Owner/Teacher Scott Dougherty The new Fun series is a terrific improvement on what has been a staple choice for paddlers who prefer a more classic design over the more freestyle specific 2010 Star series.

Werner: Werner, Canadian Team Paddler, Matt Hamilton, finally reporting from Garb! Canadian paddlers are stoked, with unusually high rain levels driving up CFS on the river the past few years, this is the first time in two years that Garb made its appearance.

Werner: Ben Kinsella packs up his Werners, and the World Class kids, to head to Peru. We are proud to have two top teachers and coaches paddling Werner Paddles at the World Class Kayak Academy, Josh Bechtel and Head Coach Ben Kinsella. As they pack up and get ready for a semester in Peru.

PaddleBlogs: Kayak Huasteca: Ojo Frio, SLP Mexico. This is one of our local favorites. Ojo frio is a class 3-4 run about an hour away. Today we went in to clean out some strainers, it took about 4 hours. We did find some great whitewater in between work.

Werner: Jan from T.I. Adventures gives the fishing report, "Their crushing salmon!" Jan reported to us on the Werner blog earlier this season, letting us know about the stand up paddle wave he and his staff is generating in his shop, T.I. Adventures, home town of Clayton NY.

surfski.info: TJ makes it 3 from 3 - Dee Why Race Report (Australia) Despite their best efforts, Tim controlled the race just about from start to finish, racing smart and hard to ensure that he was a wave ahead at the finish.

Tony Paradise: Paddling in familiar territory Eugene is in a Valley Aquanaut while Clyde is in a Valley Nordkapp RM. That made it a theesome in Valley boats. A lot of people are buying them and they certainly had a lot of desireable qualities that suit the paddling environment we have here in Newfoundland.

KayakPucon: Kanumesse 2009 - Good Party Time. Wow, the Kanumesse was incredible good time here in Germany, we never be in an exhibition like that before, more then 60 Outdoor Sport Companys was there.

Shane's Logic: Big East Fork of the West Fork of the Big Pigeon...No its not a joke. The first part of the run is small and a little manky. There is a trail down to the first confluence which cuts out the shallow stuff makes the river much kinder but walking into the falls the put in are nice enough to endure the 1/4 mile of mankdom.

Jackson Kayak: 2010 Fun Series is Here- the best just got better! The 2010 Fun is lighter weight, making it easier to carry and maneuver for everyone, and those people who aren't as strong will really appreciate the lighter weight package.

PaddleBlogs: JPatt's Blog: early late season novelty runs Every year our loving dam operators on the South Feather decide to drain Little Grass Valley Reservoir. The only decent way to do this is of course to provide a sweet manageable 300-400 cfs that kayakers are able to enjoy.

KayakCanberra: Coveted Snowies Runs There was a very moderate spill of Guthega Dam, allowing a run on the "Middle" Snowy, between the Dam and the Power Station.

PaddleBlogs: River SUP: Whats SUP With This? -SUP On The Gauley The Gauley River is one of the most impressive whitewater runs in the country and boosts three distinct sections, the Upper Gauley, Middle Gauley, and the Lower Gauley. The Upper is the hardest, the middle is the easiest and the lower is between the two.

Valentin Grollemund: Bilder Freestyle Munich A pretty nice contest with a nice atmosphere and the race was on a sessions system: 5 paddlers had 10 minutes in the hole to do their runs one after one. It was nice and you can paddle 4 or 5 runs per sessions.

SUP Surf Mag: Hinano's Tahiti Stand Up Paddle Surfing World Tour Contenders The goal of this unique exhibition event was to showcase a selection of the principal contenders of the Stand Up World Tour in their own environment: the ocean.

Justine Curgenven: Ray Goodwin filming I spent the last 2 days filming with Ray Goodwin , a level 5 coach in Canoeing, river kayaking and sea kayaking, and a very fine paddler and person.

Am. Whitewater: 2009 American Whitewater Gauley Fest Presented by Subaru Wrap-Up Gauley Fest is of major importance to AW as it's our biggest fundraising event. All the funds raised at this national level event go back to funding AW's River Stewardship work all over the United States.

Chris Eastabrook: It's Hard Being Georgian. Part 1 We stopped along the way for a couple of low, easy warm up rivers. The grade of these rivers, 4 sections of the Aragvis, was never more than class III but the continuous nature of these were unreal. There was certainly no stopping, which got me stoked for the hard grades.

Misc.: Kayaking is King, but Fishing Fades Once, commerce was king on the Hudson. Now recreation rules. Over the last decade, recreational uses have increased steadily as a cleaner river continues to be rediscovered. But sport and play are not necessarily happening in predictable ways. Kayaking, for example, has exploded as a sport, reflecting a statewide and national trend, while the popularity of power boating has been tempered by the recession and post-9/11 security concerns. Fishing, traditionally the premier sporting activity on the river, is under new stresses primarily because of overharvesting in the ocean impacting the river.
