Todd Wells Todd Wells: Mexico Part 1: Opening Days
After we all fired off San Pedro we had a quick, but action packed paddle to the take-out. The rapids between San Pedro and the take-out were all a little manky and we only ran a few of them, but as we learned the portages weren't much better.

We're heading back this month with a team of fish experts and local tribesmen to descend a 100 mile section of the river and complete the area's first biodiversity inventory study. As proposed dam projects loom on the horizon, our team will figure out what species would be affected if migration corridors are blocked and the river channels flooded and diverted.

Mt. Hood H2O Mt. Hood H2O: Copper Creek
After getting foiled by high water on Eagle Creek, we ran Copper Creek again.  It has become our go to creek.  We had a decent flow with 1500 on the EF Lewis and rising.  This was a great level, felt pretty full for the creek.  Once again we used the upper put-in for the run.
Atlantic Kayaker Atlantic Kayaker: Gibson Mill Stream (Jolly Farmer Stream)
We stayed up in Woodstock for the night and the next morning we decided to see if the Gibson Mill Stream was running. We went out the take out bridge and found it to be what we thought would be an acceptable level. We were very interested at getting back into the gorge as the previous times we've been in here it was the spring season and the gorge walls were icy making it difficult t scout the crux of the gorge.

Adrian Tregoning Adrian Tregoning: Cape Town – Adrian's Guide to Surf Spots – Part 1
Great for beginners when the swell is small. Faces the SW in a big arc. Small waves on the left (when facing the sea) and bigger on the right. Usually just closes out and one has to be lucky to get a long ride. Breaks on sand and can have hollow sections, but mostly not. When it's big the waves break across the back of the bay and then getting out on a kayak becomes close to impossible.
