This includes the uber-fun Upper, the ultra-burly Middle, and the cruisy Lower Palguin sections of whitewater.

Tony Paradise: Top 10 paddles of 2009 - #6 Middle Cove was choked with ice my ice paddle on March 27 was one that was certain to be on my list of top 10 paddles. I set out to paddle with the ice floes in Middle Cove but when I got there the cove was choked with ice. Not much room for a kayak in there, so I moved one cove over to Torbay.

It was a glorious day with sunshine, views of snow covered mountains, very little wind and fantastic clean waves at Penrhyn Mawr tidal race. After a lovely Christmas Day with our families, Barry and I have enjoyed a couple of days working off some of that turkey and trimmings.

It was a small-craft advisory day, and I am currently one piece short of my usual winter ensemble (BRAND NEW replacement drysuit is now en route from Arcata, yay, more on that before too long but those who know Kokatat know what I'm talking about.
