News Watch Headlines 2013 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships worldkayak - The Nantahala is going huge this September 2-8, as top international paddlers converge on the Gorge to compete in the 2013 Freestyle World Championships. Abyssmo Canyon Descent upper Amazon - We talked a lot about the lower canyon of the Rio Apurimac and that we really would like to run it. It is called "the Abyssmo". Antelope Canyon by Paddle Jackson Kayak - It's November in Colorado and one of the driest years in recent history. As a paddling family we are not quite ready to hang up the paddles for what we hope will be a very snowy winter. It's our daughter Abby's Thanksgiving break and we have a long history of spending Thanksgiving in the desert of Utah. Catching Up Rafting Life - While it has been a little while since I have posted images and blogged about paddling or rafting. Fortunately that just means that I have been busy and having loads of fun. There has been a fair amount of time spent on rivers since my last posts. Dagger Mamba Long Term Review with Chase Nobles CKS Blog - This summer with no expectation of paddling a different boat, I ended up in a 2012 Dagger Mamba 8.6. Now over 300 river miles later, I can confidently say that this boat kicks some tail. First days in the Karma Heading to Chile Dane Jackson - Day after tomorrow i head to Chile for my first time. I am so stoked, this is a place i have wanted to see for a long time. I have a month of traveling all around. I start off in Santiago and work my way to Pucon where i will be based out of. Boater Cross on The Futa Jackson Kayak - JK Karma takes the Lead with Dane in it! One more Race to go, and its 20 minutes long! Best of Luck to Dane to who will be facing two very consistent fast paddlers: Isaac and Eric Deguil. Millstone River Rafting Life - The rain was pounding down, it was one of the first big storms of the winter season that arrives to Vancouver Island every year. This year it was a bit later than normal. The calls went out. The Millstone was flowing. That it only runs when everything else is super high. The plans were made a group of 4 set off to have some fun. River of Life & The Flow of Time Jackson Kayak - I breathe in deeply and close my eyes to calm the flow of thoughts in my mind. This is my last ride of the entire competition. I am sitting in 5th, the lowest position I could be in the finals. Jk Karma M Review by Tommy Clapp Jackson Kayak - On November 2nd I traveled up to Elizabethton TN to connect with Jeremy Gass and Wesley Bradley in preparation for the Green Race. This was the first time I was able to look at a Karma up close. Laying it side by side I could see some difference right away in hull design. Kokatat Bahia Tour Review YakAngler - I spent 7 days working in the Florida Keys. It was truthfully one of the most physically demanding trips I have ever been on. The Joy of Knowledge and Skill Bryant Burkhardt - I went for a nice little paddle on San Francisco Bay the other day. Launched from Horseshoe Cove, went out to Angel Island, circumnavigated, then back to the start. Very pleasant paddle with nice weather and nice views. Thing is, the tides currents were completely unfavorable.
