News Watch Dane Takes The Gold in His 2013 Karma Jackson Kayak - Dane wins his second WWGP Title! Today was a 20 minute race down the Futatlafu River in Chile. Dane won today's event as well as the boater cross two days ago securing his first place title in the 2013 Karma. It was such an unreal experience to be part of and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to hang out, paddle and party with such an amazing group of talented paddlers ... 2013 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships worldkayak - The Nantahala is going huge this September 2-8, as top international paddlers converge on the Gorge to compete in the 2013 Freestyle World Championships. New Jackson Kayak Outfitting Review Jackson Kayak - I just received my brand spankin' slick new Karma Large. There are lots of great reviews discussing the amazing stability and speed, but I wanted to mention the new outfitting. For comparison, I have my old Villain. Of note, both the Karmas and new Villains come with the improved outfitting. WWGP stage 2 and 3 Martina Wegman - The White Water Grand Prix has been super sick so far! We having a blast of a time running some insane fun whitewater and hanging out with the crew! The second stage of the Whitewater Grand Prix was held on an intense course on the Rio Puesco, an hour drive from Pucon. Abyssmo Canyon Descent upper Amazon - We talked a lot about the lower canyon of the Rio Apurimac and that we really would like to run it. It is called "the Abyssmo". Chelanigans - 2012 Daniel Patrinellis - Chelan is a hard nut to crack. It can be a bit difficult to put a finger on the "why" side of the argument for partaking in the releases on the Chelan river. It's far away (by Seattle standards). At close to three hours from Seattle, theres nothing convienient about the drive. Perhaps not the best choice for the first day in a new boat, but after a minor hick-up and adjustment, the boat and I were getting along great.
