However, recently they have done some renovating and turned ISLE into one of the largest retailers of Paddleboards and Surfboards in the nation. 2013 Stonycreek Rendezvous May 17-19 worldkayak blogs - This years Rendezvous is the weekend of Friday May 17 through Sunday May 19 at Greenhouse Park on Tirehill Road, in Johnstown, PA. There will be full 500 CFS whitewater releases all three days GUARANTEEING GOOD FLOWS for the entire weekend. My copy of "Life of Pi" unfortunately added to my carbon footprint taking me several foreign trips to complete with it being carried along multiple times to Asia in the bottom of a suitcase. Portland Coastguard Sar Helicopter SW Sea Kayaking - Last weekend we had the pleasure of watching Portland Coastguard's search and rescue helicopter training along our local coast; after various low-flying and proximity-flying manoeuvres, a crew member (presumably one who drew the short straw) was lowered onto a cliff ledge, and then 'rescued' again. The First North Esk River Race worldkayak blogs - On Saturday the 27th of April, 2013, we held the inaugural North Esk River Race, and against all Scottish pessimism and predictions of water levels and weather, we managed to get the perfect day for it. Watch Connor Baxter Paddle Like a Maniac in Brazil SUPracer - Some great highlights out of the Ubatuba Grand Slam Sprint Racing that went down in Brazil on the weekend. If you've seen the results from the Stand Up World Series Brazil, you'll know that Connor Baxter made it a clean sweep, taking out both the sprint and distance events. World Kayak Rock Island Open worldkayak blogs - Greetings paddlers from Nashville World Kayak! We had a great day yesterday at our first ever Rock Island Open Race Day! This was our first official World Kayak attempt at having a Hometown Throwdown at Rock Island State Park. It certainly won't be our last! Blown Chances on a Tough Day Pat Kellner - I arrived at the park where the tournament was being held at around 5:50 am; I drove around inside the park for 35 minutes, just looking for everyone.
