News Watch The Kokatat Maximus Prime PFD Review-by Ken Hoeve CKS Blog - I have had the Kokatat Maximus Prime PFD for a little over a month now and have quickly come to love it. For starters, its comfortable. The wide shoulder straps have extra material underneath that spreads out the weight of the PFD. Ben Stookesberry Mixes Fire and Water in Hawaii First Ascent - Hawaii is not a secret destination in any respect, but when Eddie Bauer adventure kayakers Ben Stookesberry and Chris Korbulic hit the Islands, it was with an adrenaline itinerary that involved missions from big-wave surf kayaking on Oahu's North Shore and dropping 120-foot Rainbow Falls to paddling up close and personal to the shoreline lava flows of the Kilauea volcano on the Big Island while filming for a Brazilian reality-TV series. Stomper 80 Review Judy Ranelli - A couple of weeks ago I ran the Upper Nantahala for the first time, and demoed a Liquid Logic Stomper 80 for the first time as well. The Upper Nanty was around 550cfs (our guess). My friend Chip was kind enough to bring his Stomper for me to try. New Team Member – Jamie Conn Immersion Research - Jamie is from the Devon area of England but now attends Durham Uni. He's regularly up and down the length of the whole country and has easily been out kayaking in Scotland at least twice the amount I have been this year. Dancing with Wolves Jackson Kayak - I couldn't have been more excited when I saw the surf forecast for this week. It seems like, for the first time this year, the stars aligned on one of my normal days off. With a 1-2′ swell at 17 seconds, I knew I was in for a fine day on the water. South Stanislaus Whitewater-Koa - I arrived in California on Sunday the 5th of May in San Francisco where Myles and Jesse picked me up  and we made our way inland.  After a couple of days to get sorted and catch up with Nick and Harmony it was time to get to business. We Love Creek Weeks Girls at Play - After last year's successful Creek Week word spread fast and we were psyched that it was popular enough this year to add a second week! Jez Blanchard's Summer Wrap-up worldkayak blogs - So over the last few months I have been extremely busy getting the Australian National Team ready for the World Championships. Usually Australia attends with just one, two or in some very great cases three athletes at the Worlds. Plattling Freestyle Euro Cup Palm Blogs -   This last weekend the Plattling Eurocup Freestyle took place under some extremely stormy skies. Ever changing water levels and tough conditions meant lots of ups, downs, success's and upsets for the competitors. All together this made for an exciting and fun event to be a part of. Soča Is Amazing in Springtime Palm Blogs - A quick wrap up: I have been in the White Salmon, Washington State, for ten days now and I have yet to see a single cloud. I hit a big jackpot this time. Fitting a Flat Earth Kayak Sail to a P & H Aries 155. SeaKayakPhoto.com - The Aries is the composite version of the rotomoulded polyethylene Delphin so I knew it would be a great sea kayak for paddle sailing. Reno River Festival Wrap Up Jackson Kayak - It was another action packed weekend in the World's Biggest Little City: Reno, NV. We were given blue bird skies and 90 degree weather for both Friday, Saturday and Sunday making it the perfect weekend to hold a kayaking event. Robe Race 2013 Daniel Patrinellis - The Range Life crew started a race on our local canyon run a few seasons back and every year the competition has gotten tougher and tougher. Border Problems- Chile Jackson Kayak - We have a problem. Our group is now back down to six people, but only one car. That car is our small Volkswagen Suran, which can barely fit five. We've been told our destination, Rio Baker, is four days away from our current location at the Gol Gol. Get Ready for The Reno River Festival Jackson Kayak - Time to get ready for the 2013 Reno River Festival! Team JK has ton of paddlers here so it will be fun to see who comes out on top. We have local paddlers here Jason Craig and Jessica Yurtinus who have a hometown advantage.
