Werner - This past weekend siblings, Alyson and Derek Fromm tore it up at the Oregon Coast for the Oregon Open Ocean Classic. The first day was the Open Ocean race and it was dead calm on the water it was really relaxing and fun, especially since we had the company of four big grey whales.says Alyson.
Standup Journal World'S Best Standup Paddlers Descend on Fehmarn
Standup Journal - Fehmarn, Germany will be the new host location of this year's Camp David World Cup of SUP, stop number 3 of the 2014 Stand Up World Series and Stop 4 of the European Cup. This $25,000 World Series event will kick off next Friday 18th July, as the World's best descend upon Northern Germany for an event to remember, as the World Series picks back up where it left off in Abu Dhabi back in April.
Starboard Starboard Wins in Sweden
Starboard - Congratulations to the entire Starboard Swedish Team as they dominated the first ever Swedish SUP Championship! The top three podium positions in both the men's sprint and long distance events were on Starboard (Magnus Lindstedt, Martin Backéus, Crille Forsberg), as well, 1st place went to Margareta Engstrom in the Women's sprint and long distance events.

SUP International - Over 1,000 visitors headed down to Poole Harbour recently as H2O Sports hosted their 8th annual Demo Day. Hosted alongside SUP School Easyriders and BSUPA, the day was a resounding success with visitors taking to the water to experience new water sports, many for the first time.

Jackson Kayak - The biggest fish to have been caught from a kayak was a salmon shark of an estimated 500lbs. The shark was caught outside of Alaska and was shot by the captain of an assisting boat prior to the landing. There are also rumors of fish of a similar size being landed but without photo proof.

Jackson Kayak - The Runswick Bay annual Kayak Festival and competition is one of my favourite events here in the Uk, it's a well organised and well run event and always has a great turnout. This year was no exception, people traveled from all over the country to fish the match.

SUP International - Annabel Anderson it could be said has been bouncing off the rev limiter for most of her life. In her early twenties she found herself in a situation that many people who have hit it too hard for too long find themselves in – physical burnout. Demonstrating that whilst it was not just a mere speedbump, these setbacks can be overcome, for Annabel is of course now one of the most accomplished paddlers on the water.
