unsponsored Cold Weather Paddling Gear
unsponsored - We've just about hit that time of the year in the UK when it gets darker earlier and earlier, the weather has begun to turn and the water is that little bit colder. Jackson Kayak Why I Paddle Jackson
Jackson Kayak - There are a lot of misconceptions out there about what it means to be a sponsored athlete, among them that every athlete makes lots of money- or gets tons of free gear, or are sponsored because they are running the biggest, baddest rapids out there. I hate to dispel these myths, but the reality is that most sponsored paddlers work hard for the gear they get- at discount, rather than free- and few earn any form of livable income from paddling alone.
