News Watch Headlines Yaking for Carp Jackson Kayak - Its been a long hot summer in the West. I had been very excited for a long trip to Montana to fish some of their worldclass stream. By the time I arrived in early August, most of the rivers were under "Hoot Owl" Restrictions and the trout fishing was off. Many anglers were ornary. This was the firs river on our trip that we reached without car access. Hood River Inn Elder SUP - It's mid-November and we headed to Hood River, Oregon. We came with plans for fishing but the timing was not on our side. The salmon run was about over and the steel head were not quite running. It was pretty cool for down wind runs on our standup boards in the Columbia.
