Werner - The end of October marks the unofficial end to the fall release season here in California, with the Pit 1 section of the Pit river in the town of Fall River capping it off. It had been a couple of years since I had run this section of the Pit, and I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the canyon is and reminded that the whitewater is actually pretty decent. Fishin' For A Cause Jackson Kayak - July 11, 2015 marked the second annual Up21 Fishin' For A Cause fishing tournament. Up21Fishing Team is a kayak fishing team that benefits the UP21 Foundation , a non- profit organization started by Tyler's mom, Cassie Walther, and two other mothers that have children with Down's Syndrome. James Casey, Angie Jackson Win the Latest Battle in Australia SUPracer - James Casey and Angie Jackson have won the inaugural Central Coast Saltwater Festival on Australia's East Coast, edging out a star-studded field of world ranked and local dark horse paddlers. Sounds like the inaugural event was a big success, with a well organised weekend of racing, big prize purse and top level talent all supporting a great cause. November Gales Adventurous Experiences - With students from four of our long-term development programs, our Saturday afternoon Indoor Kayaking training is enjoying healthy participation levels. Our Junior Kayak School (ages 6 to 14) offers certificated Stages 1-5, with graduates from this program offered a place in the Junior Adventure Club, a Performance Pathway. Dry Paddles in Pennsylvania Log of Ibi - We made the trip east for a family reunion.  This is not be a paddle-trip adventure, but I hope there are things of interest to our readers.  14-Year-Old Crowned Canadian SUP Surf Champ SUP Connect - On a weekend full of highlights nothing stood out more than a 14-year-old winning it all at the 2nd annual Tofino Paddle Surf SUP Invitational. The event, held over three days at the end of October, included two days of stand up paddle board surf competition followed by a day of surfing. Both events and all categories were competitive with more than 134 entries.
