Wavesport Blogs: Top Run: Rio Nevado, Chile My 1st run was ultra low since we thought the river would be out for the season after that, but luckily we were wrong. The rains have kept of the Rio Nevado well into Janaury which is unheard of in most summers down here.

Atlantic Paddle Surfing: Broad Creek Paddle The NW winds subsided early being the perfect time to get out there before the forecasted S-SW winds picking up. Russ Tillman and I paddled the upper areas of Broad Creek during high tide. I used a chest harness to record the paddle.

Nessmuking: How Far Away is the Horizon Knowing the distance to the horizon is handy when estimating how long it will take you to travel to a distant point. To accurately estimate to distance, understand that the apparent horizon changes based on the height of your eyes; the higher your eyes, the further you can see.

NC Paddle Surfer: Cold Stroke Race Report Everyone who raced took home a prize. All 83 racers. About 100 entered, but some didn't show.
