Astral Currently Astral Currently: Asheville Goes to Overflow
A few cold and snowy weekends ago I had the opportunity to paddle the Overflow Creek for the first time with a group of friends from Asheville. Its an incredible creek run with some really cool drops, and as we quickly learned its not a run to let your guard down as almost every drop has some type of hazard.
duemmstuff duemmstuff: The Last Heli-Run
We started slow at the low water upper section while most others started a bit lower down river. Andrej broke his only two weeks old boat on one of the first rapids and we thought it would take ages for us to get to the end.

Jackson Kayak Jackson Kayak: John McConville visits Ecuador
During our visit to Ecuador our team ran 4 different rivers and 9 different sections, as well as successfully completing one extremely steep multi day! With the taste of whitewater on our tongue we were thirsty for more, Ecuador needed more water so we packed our bags and left it all behind.
Dagger Blogs Dagger Blogs: Rio Negro de Hornopiren, Chile
One of the coolest things about the Rio Negro is that you are just 20 minutes from the ocean at the put-in. The town of Hornopiren, named after it's neighboring volcano, sustains itself through tourism and fishing. We met some kids in town who were going out night-spear fishing, and they were loading up their little boat with rocks to beat up the sharks.
CKS Blog CKS Blog: The Astral Green Jacket LE2
The Astral Green Jacket's been around the block a few times. It's really comfortable, lasts along time and is burly enough be your "go to" jacket for big Class V trips. Of all the PFD manufacturer's out there, Astral seems to be the one that is continually trying to progress into the next realm of quality, style and overall coolness. The Green jacket LE and LE2 are great examples of this.
Fraser Valley WW Fraser Valley WW: Ash River, Vancouver Island, B.C.
The Ash River on Vancouver Island is a hydro controlled river. It doesn't usually release water in early February but that's exactly what it was doing while we were there on a three day boating tour for Curtis' Birthday. We're not sure why there was such good flow but we weren't going to complain. The flows were so good actually that the reservoir was spilling over the top of the dam allowing us to run the big ramp out of the lake into a small pool and off a clean 15 footer.

Kokatat Blog Kokatat Blog: Globetrekker Antarctica Expedition Update
Despite all our best laid plans the "expected" unexpected has happened, and 21 bags of filming equipment is stuck in Buenos Aires. We've left Pete behind to wrangle Argentine customs and the airline, and we're hoping we'll see him and all the gear soon.
