The wave itself is about one to barely two meters high, depending on the waterlevel. It is always breaking, and can get quite sticky and a bit nasty. It is not very fast but most modern moves can be done here. On surfer's left is a green shoulder to go for big blunts.
ICF ICF: Move over Tiger, the Dragon is here
It may be the year of the Tiger coming up, but for the ICF this month, it's all about the Dragon. The ICF recently announced the inclusion of 10 Seater Dragon Boat race in ICF events. The ICF Technical Director, Mr Csaba Szanto is currently working with the ICF's Dragon Boat committee to promote the 10-seater boat initiative that will buoy the sport of Dragon Boat and have more teams competing.

From Quepos we moved to Turialba, the whitewater center of Costa Rica. We stayed here for more than one week running Rio Reventazon, Pacuare and Sucio. We had quite low water levels, but it was still fun. We liked especially Peralta section of Reventazon and upper Pacuare.

Our first pit stop was the Rio Laja. This short section of whitewater is pure gold. It is combat paddling at its finest with little to no eddies and a continuous gradient which is full of sticky pourovers. None stop action for 3-4kms. The greatest part about his river is that you can walk the shuttle in a quick 20min.

This is the top drop of the Micos. It is about 60+ feet, i had an ok line. I landed on my head but i stayed in my boat.
