An Exceptional Review of the Project X From a Mediocre Paddler New River Academy - It was a little over a year ago now that I learned that Wavesport was working on a new boat to compete with newer models like the Jackson All-Star and Pyranha's Molan. Then around the time of Gauley fest, we were given the first video of the new boat. At the time I was paddling a 2010 All-Star and my first impression of the new project was that it seemed very similar to the All-Star, maybe a little easier to cartwheel and a bit faster on a wave but otherwise not too much different then my Jackson. At this point I had been pretty good friends with a few of the wavesport guys, specifically Bryan Kirk, who I saw frequently on the New and Gauley rivers every year.

Gauley Training in the Project X Wavesport Blogs - So it's this time of the year again....cold temps, not a whole lot of water, and a handful of small playspots. I've found the ultimate cure for the winter timer blues - the Project X! This new design has allowed me to look at the low-water Gauley in a whole new light, and I am stoked to get this new boat on the river any chance I can get!
