The Blonde Blogger The 365 Project - Done
The Blonde Blogger (Sunday 23rd) *** - After 365 days, or 8,760 hours, or 525,600 minutes, my 365 photography project is complete!
Evan Garcia Overnighters
Evan Garcia (Monday 24th) *** - There are so many rad parts of our sport, it's hard to say what's the best. Surfing big smooth waves? Boofing the perfect 20 footer? Take out beers? Seeing new places? Making good friends?...Yeah all of those things do appeal to me as a long time boater, but there is still one thing that stands high above every other aspect of whitewater kayaking...Overnighters!
Fraser Valley WW VKC Skookumchuck Session
Fraser Valley WW (Wednesday 26th) ** - Just returned from an awesome trip to Skookumchuck with the Vancouver Kayak Club and the crew from WCK. It was the first time for lots of people from both the club and the store, being there to see the wide eyes of so many Skooks Virgin's was awesome.
Werner Ny's Moose River Fest-report by Werner regional Team paddler Ryan Mooney.
Werner (Saturday 22nd) ** - (Words by Werner regional Team paddler Ryan Mooney, photos by Patrick Rogers.  Ryan lives in Western Mass where he is an advid white water boater and super fast down hill ski racer. Shown above running the high water boof at Fowersville Falls, drop #1 on the Bottom Moose.) "All day Friday and Saturday it rained hard brining the level up. A normal level on the Bottom section of the Moose during Moose Fest is about 3 feet. This weekend it was between 5-5.5 feet.
Team Pyranha Venezuela Expedition Video
Team Pyranha (Friday 21st) ** - The British Universities Kayaking Expedition team have been back for a little over a month now, and here´s a short video of what the team got up to in Venezuela over the summer.
Wavesport Blogs A helpful comparison of the Project X to the All Star ....
Wavesport Blogs (Sunday 23rd) ** -   After getting to paddle both the Wave Sport Project X and the Jackson 2010 All-Star I have to say both perform well in a hole. I thought the hull on the Project X was super fast--which will be fun for wave style moves.                             After getting to paddle both the Wave Sport Project X and the Jackson 2010 All-Star I have to say both perform well in a hole. I thought the hull on the Pr...
Zet Kayaks Anne Hubner, My year 2011
Zet Kayaks (Tuesday 25th) ** - After having a great new years eve in Pucon paddling the upper Palguin, having barbecue, watching the fireworks over Lago Villarica and partying hard with the whole Pucon kayak crowd we left the awesome little Chilean town and headed over the boarder to Argentina towards Bariloche. Two days later we arrived in Futaleufu back in Chile.
Jackson Kayak The Devil's Beauty
Jackson Kayak (Thursday 27th) ** - The Devil's River in Southwest Texas is far from anything that I would have chosen to name after the devil. In fact, I would describe it as quite the opposite: heavenly, cool and an absolutely euphoric oasis in the middle of the desert.
Jackson Kayak New Playspot in Vermont!
Jackson Kayak (Wednesday 26th) ** - Vermont is well known in New England for outstanding creeking, but unfortunately what we don't have are many stellar playspots. There are some, and Canada is close, but local spots are something I've missed here for a while. With so many local rivers, it just seems like something should be here, it's just a matter of finding it!
Team LiquidLogic Racehorse Creek Falls, WA
Team LiquidLogic (Saturday 22nd) * - Ok I know this is kinda old news…but no one ever got the real story of what happened the day myself and Ryan Lucas decided to run Racehorse Creek Falls. We were on our way back to Montana from a good old Hood River Trip and I got a text from Fred! He sent a cell phone photo of Racehorse falls and said it was perfect level! I have been interested in this drop ever since Erik Boomer ran it in 2009, which you can see here Erik's First Descent!.
LiquidLore Hurley Canyon
LiquidLore (Tuesday 25th) * - The Hurley River near the town of Bralorne is a cool river on the very edge of the Coast Mountains in southwest BC - I guess you could even argue that it is actually in the Chilcotins. It's worth reading the beta out it to find out some more about what the river is like.
Immersion Research Scotland – WWPF 2011
Immersion Research (Friday 21st) * - Every year in Scotland, the SCA (http://canoescotland.org) organises a weekend long paddling festival, the Wet West Paddle Fest. There are 2 dam releases on different rivers scheduled, evening socials, films and talks and a big raffle. All the funds go to maintaining river access in Scotland.
SUP Connect Stand Up Paddle Board East Hampton, Long Island
SUP Connect (Tuesday 25th) * - Tired of the hustle of the Big Apple? Take a ride out to East Hampton, located on the scenic shores of Long Island, for a leisurely stand up paddle session or a more challenging downwind run.
Plunge Pool Best of 2011, so far.
Plunge Pool (Wednesday 26th) * - It has been a long time since I have posted anything here. Let's face it, this is not really the premier media outlet anymore. But we are all about mediocrity, so, it makes sense to pretty up the front page with some fun pictures from the year so far...
Jackson Kayak Cali in the Fall- With Photos!
Jackson Kayak (Saturday 22nd) * - Daniel from, A Wet State, is checking in again with some fall dam relese classics. Enjoy. As fall approaches in California, the snow melt dwindles and we are left depending on dam releases to keep us occupied until the rain comes in November/December. Don't get me wrong, we have some great options, Cherry Creek, Burnt Ranch Gorge, South Feather, and the North Feather to name a few of the dependable fall runs.
