Werner Ny's Moose River Fest-report by Werner regional Team paddler Ryan Mooney.
Werner - (Words by Werner regional Team paddler Ryan Mooney, photos by Patrick Rogers.  Ryan lives in Western Mass where he is an advid white water boater and super fast down hill ski racer. Shown above running the high water boof at Fowersville Falls, drop #1 on the Bottom Moose.) "All day Friday and Saturday it rained hard brining the level up. A normal level on the Bottom section of the Moose during Moose Fest is about 3 feet. This weekend it was between 5-5.5 feet.
First Ascent Rio Mambukaba
First Ascent - I knew I had forgotten something when coming to Brazil. When I tried to ask how long the drive would be I realized what it was: to learn Portuguese. Thanks to my "Beginning Portuguese" book I glanced at on the plane, I could at least ask our driver where the Laundromat was and count to 999 while his Land Rover bounced up the long and insanely bumpy driveway to his farm, Fazenda Bonito. This was our put-in for the Rio Mambukaba. We knew little of the river, as its first attempted descent* resulted mostly in high-water horror stories of days climbing through the jungle followed by a week on the beach, presumably mending the mental and physical anguish from the river.

Team LiquidLogic Travelling in Tyrol
Team LiquidLogic - The Sickline Champs gathered all the folks in Oetz valley. Max and I took the chance to have all other Tyrolian rivers just for us. Some of the boys joined us and so we had a fabulous weekend with low volume creeks and some big water too. We started our tour on the waterfall fun section of Defereggenbach, which isn't the longest stretch. It's just 3 kilometers, but the drops makes it totally worth it.
Astral Currently Green River, VT
Astral Currently - This past weekend, about 30 Vermont boaters convened for an AW sponsored FERC-relicensing flow study on the Green River in VT. The Green had been off paddler radars until the last couple years when Ryan McCall (et. al) happened to find it running one day when the power company that owns the dam was running a capacity test.
