Log of Ibi An Internet Surprise
Log of Ibi - I have a North Face Rock 22 tent. I'm happy with it, and it has served me well, but I've seen a couple stories about people's unusual experiences with tents in adverse weather. The most memorable was from Rod Wellington, who was pinned down on a sandbar for a couple days by really high winds during his trip down the Missouri River.

Luuka Jones Home
Luuka Jones - A mammoth flight, some painful delays and five movies later I am back in New Zealand and it is great to be home. My kayak and paddles are still making their way from Dubai after baggage issues rendered it left behind. I pray it turns up in the next day or so as being a kayaker without ones kayak is less than ideal.
Jackson Kayak Kayak fishing the Lost Coast of Panama
Jackson Kayak - An opportunity to join Jim Sammons and James McBeath on a trip to Panama to film an episode of The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons came up and it was a no-brainer to hop on board. Our outfitter/guide was Hennie Marais with Paddle Panama who had his brother Peter along to help run a smooth operation.
Alder Creek Kayak Molalla River 3 Bears for Creek Boating Basics
Alder Creek Kayak - This past weekend I was fortunate enough to explore a new section of river for me, anyhow as part of Alder Creek's Creek Boating Basics class with Paul Kuthe. When it was all said and done, I was left to wonder how the heck it took me so long to explore the breathtakingly beautiful scenery and pristine whitewater of the Molalla River.
Same Deep Water 'Dam Hetch Hetchy!'
Same Deep Water - The Tuolumne River at the end of the Grand Canyon runs into a structure that has nearly defined a generation of environmentalists. The O'Shaughnessy Dam holds the Tuolumne back in Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and completely floods the Hetch Hetchy Valley.
Rafting Life A Day on the Koksailah
Rafting Life - After a very dry winter we had some rain toward the middle of February. Searching the gauges on the River database we decided on the Koksailah. There had been a group down the weekend before so we knew there should be limited wood. Paul and myself headed out from the Comox Valley to meet Liam at the Kok take out.
Will Herman A fleeting glimpse of Flamborough Head
Will Herman - Plans for the west coast had been abandoned in favour of the promise of sun on the east but as I contemplated  the relaxed paddle in spring sunshine envisaged, motivation to change into paddling kit as the temperature refused to rise above a chilly 3 degrees and the fret blocked all warmth from the sun, was noticeably absent.
