Paddle Making Gonna need a bigger canoe
Paddle Making - Things have been quiet here as of late in anticipation of a new arrival. Our 2nd son finally decided to enter the world in the early morning hours of August 11th. All is well, but of course free time for paddle carving is non-existent for the moment.
SUPracer Connor Baxter Defeats Kai Lenny, Annabel Anderson Defeats Candice Appleby To Claim The Ultimate SUP Showdown

The Starboard duo proved yet again they're the best, defeating an all-star lineup to claim one of the biggest races of the year. After two full days of world-class surfing and racing action, it all came down to the 15-minute 'Showdown' grand finale, a slalom race in the surf that featured a who's who of the paddling world.
Inflatable Kayak Blog Outdoor Retail Show Demo Day 2014
Inflatable Kayak Blog - Every year in early August, outdoor retailers and manufacturers of outdoor products descend on Salt Lake City for 5 days of madness that is the Outdoor Retail Show (aka ORS). There are actually two Outdoor Retail Shows a year, the Summer and Winter versions, but for kayak sellers like me, the Summer show is the one I attend (although, I do like snowshoeing).
Aquabatics Calgary Antics and Shenanigans on the Slave River
Aquabatics Calgary - Hey paddlers. I just got back from an awesome trip up to the North West Territories to hang out on the mighty Slave River. This river is exceptional in many ways, its size being the first quality one notices flowing at rates between 2000 and 7000 cubic meters per second 106 000-247 000 cubic feet per second.
fishyaker.com Pennsylvania Kayak Fishing Report

Kayak Yak Friends in Kananaskis
Kayak Yak - Our friend Tom Jacklin has just shared some photos of his time paddling on Upper Kananaskis Lake with Tanya White. There's a lot to enjoy in the Kananaskis area and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in Alberta: mountains to hike and climb, mountain bike trails, deep snow in winter, some accessible picnicking places, and plenty of paddling opportunities.
Jackson Kayak Fish To The End
Jackson Kayak - On a recent trip with friends, my son and Jackson team mate Ethan Funk learned a valuable lesson; don't stop casting till you are back to the truck! We had fished for the morning and it had gotten very hot on the Chattahoochee River. We had paddled up river and thoroughly fished every rock pile and tree along the way.

Chase Kosterlitz rounded out the top five while Bart de Zwart finished sixth. Despite a relatively small field in the women's event, Angie Jackson continued to show her strength with a very dominant display.
Jackson Kayak Start Them Out Right
Jackson Kayak - One of the greatest Privileges my family has as part of Jackson kayaks promotional staff is putting people on the water for their first time. Some may have been before but have never been shown how to paddle correctly or frankly were put in a kayak that just wasn't up to the task.
Log of Ibi Southern Branch - 2
Log of Ibi - Paddling more took me to the entrance of Deep Creek, the northern entrance to the Dismal Swamp Canal, which is next to the I-64 bridge. Any reference to the canal brings back a memory from years ago.
SUPracer Let'S Play Showdown Roulette
SUPracer - I didn't really wanna write this post. It's Saturday night. I'm in Waikiki. I could be out having fun. Instead, I've been sitting here in my hotel room for hours, pouring over the start list for tomorrow's Ultimate SUP Showdown, running scenario after scenario through my head and trying to figure out how on earth I'm going to make any meaningful predictions in an event that includes so many talented paddlers and that features such variable, unpredictable racing conditions.

Newfoundland Kayakoholic Avondale Kayak Night Paddle
Newfoundland Kayakoholic - Nine kayaks with ten people showed up last night for the club's yearly night paddle out of Avondale. We had cloud cover, and very little bio-luminescence, but the wind was low making it an enjoyable and fun evening on the water.
Jackson Kayak Inspiring confidence with the 2015 Fun
Jackson Kayak - This past weekend we had a former Reno boater come back to visit for the first time in three years. I taught Newt to boat and he did really well, while he still lived in Reno. He learned in the '07 Fun and loved the boat.
