Kayak Yak - When a canoe carrying several people capsized on the Peace River during the 10th Annual Paddle for Peace event on Saturday, 80 year old David Suzuki rushed in to provide help. The event was to celebrate the northern BC's scenic Peace Valley and to oppose the development of the Site C dam. Jackson Kayak - Almost all boaters can agree that a scheduled release of a river that doesn't usually run is one of the best things ever. Last week was a scheduled release of the Nantahala Cascades, as well as the upper Nantahala. With all the craziness down at the NOC it was nice to get away from it all for a couple of hours and rock some laps on the Cascades.
