News Watch Headlines Kayaking for a Rookie River Bassin Trail - I am an avid fisherman and have loved fishing since I was first able to hold a rod in my hand. I have fished from powerboats of all sizes in rivers, lakes, and the ocean. My close friend, Ben Adrien, has fished with me for many years and recently invited me to fish with him in a kayak bass fishing tournament. Having never fished from a kayak before, I was somewhat apprehensive. I weigh right at 300 pounds and wasn't quite sure how I would fare in the close confines of a kayak. Anyhow, I did end up with the great lads at Norfolk Canoes and handed over my card for another couple of purchases to fit to my Tempo, including something I spotted, grabbed, legged it outside, took the Tempo off the roofbars where it lives and checked it out gave them the card for that too. First Half-ironman distance Triathlon - Notes to Self Simon Willis - Every so often I like to attempt a challenge with a real risk of failure. From walking the Pacific Crest Trail, to making kayaking DVDs, to cycling the Raid Pyrenean - in all of these I was absolutely uncertain as to whether or not I could finish. Slater Trout Kickstarter Campaign for Northern Waters Book Distressed Mullet - Slater Trout launched a Kickstarter campaign yesterday to launch his photography book, Northern Waters, a collaboration between him and his friend Connor on their trip to Iceland and Norway. The high end photo book documents their adventures during the trip. The Herring Town Run – Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft Palm Blogs - If you like herring, and fishing for herring, this could well be the best stretch of coast in Britain, it's certainly one of my favourite paddles. Sup Armada Reduced Entry Fees SUP International - We were delighted to be able to share some great news over the weekend that the entry fee for the SUP Armada has been reduced to just £10 per adult and £5 for kids.
