adidas Sickline Sam Sutton wins Team World Championship
adidas Sickline - Its hard to believe that it's already one year since I was the last time at the Italy Mountain Games – and now once again I am racing to win the Teams Race World Championships. This year it was a very strong field especially with the Germans and Slovenians. Therefore New Zealand had a team consisting of Johann Rozenburg, Mike Dawson and myself, so we felt strong and ready to make some Euros.
Sweet Middle McCloud Falls
Sweet - California has gotten HOT!!!! The water has risen to new heights, and we are all scared. Things have just really gone off here in the Golden State…so it was north bound I was, once again. First stop on PNW "Tour de Stout" was the McCloud falls in Mt. Shasta California for a park and huck special. The middle falls of this river…being the biggest, rarely has the water to scrape off it, but with some rain and warm bursts of weather we got there and the drop looked very friendly.
CKS Squad There's creeking in TEXAS!!!!
CKS Squad - Since this was my first day kayaking in Texas and these boys brought me out with them, it wouldn't have been right to bag her first. So, here's a true Texan boy, Richard Harris, gettin' the first D!

adidas Sickline Lienz - The Training before the Europeans
adidas Sickline - After the last World Cup, which was cancelled, we went home for a few days. Nina and me, we are still studying so we have to be at university sometimes. Hopefully everything is prepared now for my state exam, which will be after the European Championship. Well I hope I will make it because here I have little problems to focus for school.
Kokatat Blog Nikki and Ruth at the 2010 Teva Mountain Games
Kokatat Blog - 2010 Teva Mountain Games update from Kokatat team paddlers Nikki Kelly (Teva Mountain Games Steep Creek Championships on Homestake) and Ruth Gordon (Teva Mountain Games Freestyle Competition). "It's Saturday night in Vail, and everyone is on the rage except me – the mum. My newborn son Jax is asleep and I'm in the hotel room feeling exhausted after what has been a fantastic kayak event. Flying over here from NZ, I wondered what would be instore for us all at the 2010 Teva Mountain Games, as every year is an improvement from the previous and 2010 is no exception.
KayakQuixotica The Disadvantage of Dead Reckoning
KayakQuixotica - The city of Two Rivers, Wisconsin has a Current Designs kayak on every corner along the main street. Kayaks also decorate the fronts of a variety of businesses in the area as well. The city even dedicated a park to the local kayaker's called appropriately "Paddler's Park". Two Rivers is a kayaker's town. Paddlers have the tireless advocacy of local businessman and kayaker Phil Rohrer to thank for the city's attentions. Thanks to Phil and the local clubs he inspired Wisconsin had a paddler's mecca in the making…

Tony Paradise Assisted rescue disection
Tony Paradise - Last week I was in a similar position while completing an assisted rescue. I got into a position where the overturned boat wasn't perpendicular to me and had considerable trouble getting it onto my lap to dump the water out.
Tony Paradise Early Fathers' Day paddle
Tony Paradise - Every year Alex caters the Father's Day paddle in Cape Broyle. This year he's signed up for a swiftwater rescue course on Fathers' Day so we did it a week early. Its a scheduled Kayak Newfoundland and Labrador club event and this year I counted 24 paddlers out to brave the unseasonably cool weather.
